SITTING SILENTLY FEELING numb, the calavera girl stared blankly ahead of her in their living room

the rest of her friends were all at the station, giving statements to cover up what happened— she offered to go along with but Chris said she already went through enough and made her go home

she felt the spot beside her deep down as her father sat next to her handing a glass of water "here" he mumbles, she gave him a small nod before taking a sip and setting the glass down on the table in front of her

Miguel Calavera didn't exactly know what to say to his daughter— he knows what she was going through, but didn't know how to help her through it

however it seems that no words were needed to be said as Isabella just leaned against her father, closing her eyes as her chin quivered "she's gone" she whispers

"Allison's gone... i wasn't able to save her" silent tears fell down the girl's face, Miguel wrapped his arms around his daughter as if trying to protect her from the pain she was feeling but he knew that no matter how tightly he wrapped his arms around Isabella, the pain was coming from inside of her and there was no protection strong enough to stop that kind of pain

he kisses the top of her head "it's not your fault, Bella— what happened isn't your fault"

"i can't believe she's gone" Isabella cries burying herself deeper into her father's embrace

Miguel Calavera pulls away from his daughter, holding her face in his hands "Bella, look at me— hey, hey... you are strong and brave and i know it hurts like hell right now and that's okay, i don't want you to keep living thinking that it's a sin to feel hurt and be scared"

"i know Allison meant a lot to you just as you did to her and i know that this isn't over yet— so i'm gonna tell you this... Either you push away all of these grief and pain and stand back up to end this battle or we could say goodbye and leave this all behind... it's up to you, Bella" her father explains to her with a stern look but even before he gave her the options he already knew what his daughter will choose

Calaveras were never one to back down and surrender

even on the face of death

Isabella Calavera has never been the one to run from a fight and she wasn't about to do that now— despite the hallow feeling inside of her

she will not run and hide, that's not what Allison would have done and after what happened the huntress needed to do this

for her friends

for her father

and for herself

it was time she finally put an end to the nogitsune's chaos.

...

Despite her body screaming at her to go back in bed and rest— she met up with Scott and Lydia at Deaton's clinic to discuss how tthey were gonna end this

"Stiles and Kira said it was the nemeton that kept it trapped" Scott said talking about the nogitsune which confused Isabella slightly

Deaton nods at the alpha "but the problem is this isn't even a person you're fighting, it just looks like one— it's a spirit that's taken the shape of a human"

"the shape of my best friend"

"someone caught it once, someone can caught it again, right?" the banshee asks

the doctor casted his eyes downwards "i don't know, this thing was trapped a long time ago, before the nemeton was cut down it doesn't have the same power anymore"
