Sorry this chapter isn’t as long or as interesting as the others. That's just how it happened.
Apparently, after school there was a bunch of commotion outside the classroom. I was the first to leave so I missed the crowd. That didn’t matter though, what matters is the Sports Festival. For the next two weeks I spent the time mentally training. My personalities have become better at realizing when they’re in control. We also went to the doctor to check on my “quirk”, and it’s still a quirk. I didn’t think anything would change. The Sports Festival is a big deal, to me and the world. I don’t want to somehow mess-up and ruin my life.
“It’s the U.A. Sports Festival! The one day a year when our fledgling heroes compete in a ruthless battle! First up… you know who I’m talking about. The miraculous rising stars who brushed of a villain attack with their steely willpower! It’s class 1-A!” Present Mic was the host for the Sports Festival and was really hyping up 1-A. Everyone in our class began walking to the center of the field. Bakugo was told to give an oath, but he didn’t say anything of the sort. We watched as Midnight announced the first event.
“It’s a race between all eleven classes. The course is a four-kilometer lap around the stadium itself.” Everyone waited by the starting door. The air became very tense as we waited for the signal. “Start!” Midnight gave us the go ahead and everyone was rushing though the door. I was stuck in the back because I didn’t try to go though the door yet. I was hoping I jump on people, but they were always moving so what would be hard. The air suddenly got colder as Todoroki froze the ground in the gate. Everyone was frozen in place, so I was able to easily jump over people.
The other side of the tunnel was much livelier. I looked around the area; it was covered in ice too. One person caught my attention, he was being carried by some people. They looked completely braindead. I should make a note of him, just in case. I pushed myself off one of the frozen students and began sliding on the ice. I don’t like skating, whether it’s with ice skates or roller skates. I fell a few times, but I was fine. After the ice was solid ground so I felt more comfortable. I looked as though I was catching up to people until I saw some sort of robots. From what I’ve been told, they were the 0-point robots from the entrance exam. I ran around the robots in hopes to catch up to first place. If I had to guess, I was around tenth place. I hope the second obstacle would allow me catch up.
The ground came to a complete stop and I assumed I had reached the second obstacle. There were small chunks of land connected by rope. I didn’t stop to think, I just kept running. This was something we did last year. Everyone complained that we would never need to know how to run on a rope like this; and here I am. Bo was the first to master it, then Delaney, then Claude, and then me. I would like Bo to come out, but I don’t think she has the courage to come out in front of all the people watching. The second obstacle was much easier. Only Todoroki and Bakugo were in front of me. With some people tailing close behind.
The final obstacle had land mines everywhere. Bakugo was able to fly over all of them, but for some reason he attacked Todoroki instead of going to first place. This was mostly boring because I have been trained for this type of situation. As we got closer to the end there was a giant explosion from behind us. Everyone staired at it, but I kept running. Todoroki and Bakugo started running again, but I do wonder what the explosion was about. For some reason, Midoriya fell out of the sky. An explosion went of where they were standing which gave me the chance to get closer. In the end, I placed fifth out of forty-two. Some girl with plant hair pulled ahead of me at the last second. I watched as the rest of the students passed the finish line. I paid careful attention to them, and their quirks. A few people caught my eye.
“Now the real fun is about to begin” said Midnight. Round two of the Sports Festival was about to start. “The chance to fully move yourselves into the limelight! Give it your best! Let’s see what we have in store for you next. Will your wildest fantasies come to life? What could it be? The waiting is torture.” Sometimes I wonder if Midnight should be a teacher. “Prepare yourselves… for this!” Oh no… this requires cooperation.
