TWENTY ONE

it's been about six months since mark and donghyuck had been together officially, and of course, they were still going strong.

over the months it just felt like everything had started to shift and they were living a peaceful life. yeji had found somebody else, and she was still friends with the boys. jisung and chenle ended up staying together. jeno, jaemin, and renjun were also doing well too. their friends weren't exactly sure what was going on in between the three of them, but it seemed as if they were all in a happy relationship too and that was all that mattered.

it was now around 10:30 pm, both of the boys were laid in donghyuck's bed, as they decided to have a sleepover at his house that day.

donghyuck sighed as he flipped to the side of his bed, ready to grab the remote to turn the tv down, when an object caught his eye. the lovebot. he kind of forgot about it since he had gotten with mark.

his face instantly lit up as he paused whatever was showing on the tv and turned back to his lover, "hey, mark?"

"hmm?" the older hummed in response.

"why did you actually make the lovebot? like i know why, but how did it come about? you never told me." he asked while snuggling up closer to mark.

mark thought briefly before answering the question, "well, it was like almost a year ago? we had this project in robotics to make a robot... at first i didn't know what to do. then i saw you and your friends walking down the hallway, and i instantly thought of it! a lovebot— for you! i had the biggest crush on you but i was always too nervous, plus you were always so busy."

"oh..." was all donghyuck could let out, he felt his face heating up, he just knew he was redder than a tomato in that moment. mark was too sweet...

"did you get a good grade on it?"

"i did." the oldest nodded. "but that was not the most important thing for me. you enjoying it would've been better than any amazing grade i could've gotten." mark smiled proudly as he finished his attempt to flirt.

"ewww," donghyuck said as he pushed away from the other boy, "you're so cheesy!" he made a disgusted face at mark.

mark pouted towards the boy and pushed his shoulder softly.

"i'm kidding, i'm kidding." donghyuck laughed as he went back to cuddle mark again, "i really did enjoy it. all the times it gave me money— or your sappy love letters. it was lovely."

"why thank you, baby." mark went back to the same cocky grin he showed before.

"i just wonder how you're gonna top the lovebot with our one year anniversary gift..." the brunette said while rolling his eyes playfully.

mark's face immediately dropped, "i— you'll see when it comes!" he sputtered out.

"yeah, yeah.." donghyuck yawned, he turned back around to face his table, allowing mark to spoon him.

"you tired?" the black haired male asked as he wrapped his arms around the other's waist.

"mm, yeah" donghyuck responded as he shut his eyes slowly.

"goodnight then, i love you."

"i love you too, markie."

"lovebot! play 'always forever' by cults." mark requested.

the robot soon began playing the requested song lowly. the two boys snuggled up even closer to feel one another's warmth. they were glad that everything had finally fell into place, that everything was just so perfect for them now.

and all it took was one robotics project.

i honestly don't think i'll be on wattpad that much longer, so i'll actually start editing/rewriting this and my other books before i leave! i might publish my other drafts or share my ideas with you guys..
