Prologue
Lydia knew this was gonna happen, she was told by her parents that after her junior year of high school that she and her sister Lyla were gonna have to move from their small town in Virginia all the way to bright and Sunny California.
A place that she had never been to before, mind you.
She knew what this meant during her first day of Junior year but she blocked it out and she made sure Lyla wouldn't dare bring it up to her. She wanted to pretend that her life wasn't gonna change and that everything would be absolutely the same.
But she couldn't pretend forever.
Because that day she dreaded for so long, was finally here.
And she knew there no way of stopping it.
Now here's the thing, Lydia would have to give up everything. She was popular at school, very well liked and pretty much worshipped. The same thing follows with Lyla, they were known as the Martin twins and they ruled the school with an iron fist.
Especially Lyla.
Lydia was a bit more.. sensitive.
Lyla has a harder exterior than Lydia does but she does have a soft core but it's very hard for anyone who isn't Lydia to get to. Lydia puts up a pretty good front but there's more to her than what's shown on the outside.. and if you look close enough you might see it.
But there was a little more than that.. Lydia wasn't ready to pack up and move, she's already dealing with something that she doesn't understand and can't tell anyone about and now she has to start her life all over in a new place?
To Lydia, it sounds like a recipe for disaster.
