Chapter: Eighteen
Lydia was walking into the waiting room with good news for Stiles. She walked up to the desk and was instantly greeted by the nice nurse who always gave her a smile before writing her name on the visitors sticker and sent her on her way. She made her way to the elevator and scrolled through Instagram until she made it to the right floor.
She was very excited and nervous to see Stiles after last night, she expressed her feelings for him an he kissed her. She felt like she was floating on cloud nine, and she especially felt like kissing him again.
She slowly opened the door to his room and she realized that he was still asleep. She quietly closed the door behind her and placed her mini backpack onto the couch, she then walked over to his bed and sat on the edge. She took a moment to count all the little constellations of moles on his face and giggled quietly at the sounds of the loud snores escaping his plump red lips. She noticed how his long eyelashes were fluttering in his sleep as he was probably lost in a dream world, she reached over and gently brushed her hand over his cheek.
He groaned a little before rustling under the blankets, his eyes fluttered open and he blinked slowly and smiled at her when he realized she was the person who woke him up.
"Morning Lyds." He yawns and covers his mouth, "You sleep well?"
"With all the fireworks going off? No not really. But it's alright." She shrugged, "Seems like you had a good night's sleep though."
"It was okay, I was just exhausted after all the 4th of July events." He says sitting up and grabbing his bottle of blood from the bedside table and taking a few sips from it.
Lydia's skin flushed as she remembers the kiss she and Stiles shared, she could still feel his soft lips leaving a memory on hers. She gently lifted her fingers up to her lips, but she shook her head getting the thoughts away considering she had something else she needed to do.
"So, I have a special delivery."
"From who?" He asked putting the bottle down and giving her his full attention.
"Deaton."
"The daylight ring?" Stiles said as he pushed the blankets off his legs and crossed them, Lydia quickly scooched over onto the bed and crossed her legs aswell so her knees were brushing Stiles'.
"Yep." She reaches into her cardigan pocket and pulls out a black velvet box.
"Why so fancy?" Stiles snorted humorously
"Nothing wrong with a velvet box Stiles, it's great for presentation."
"You're right." He gently takes the box from her and slowly opens it. He glances at the ring and pulls it out, he's holding it between his fingers and admiring how it looks.
