Chapter: Three
Lydia has just come out of the shower when her mom knocked on her bedroom door telling her they'd have to leave soon. She ran her fingers through her strawberry blonde hair and picked up the blowdryer, she dried her hair and quickly started straightening it before french braiding her hair to the side.
She walked through her bedroom in a towel and pulled out matching set of bra and underwear and pulled on the baby blue articles of clothing. She then walked to her luggage and rummaged through it looking for something to wear. She found a light blue floral dress and slipped it on and looked at herself in the mirror.
She thought it was good enough.
She pulled out her favorite black ankle boots and slipped them over her feet, she then grabbed her phone and headphones and placed them in her pocket in her dress and made her way back to the bathroom, she grabbed a tube of lipstick and applied just a little bit and rubbed her lips together. She felt that was quite enough, so she flipped the lighswitch and exited the bedroom.
She ran down the stairs and was mwt with her parents and sister in the kitchen, of course Lyla was in her usual color coded attire, she was wearing a black long sleeved crop top and a red skirt with red stilettos, her hair was perfectly curled and bouncing.
"You two look beautiful." Mom said with a smile gracing her lips and a pan of lasagna resting in her hands, same thing goes for her dad.
She knew she smelled something when she was getting ready.
"Thanks mom." Lyla replies
Lydia just nodded and gave a small smile.
"Alright, we just have two neighbors houses to go to and then we've been invited to a cookout by one of them." Her dad explained.
"You guys didn't say anything about a cookout." Lyla says
"Oh, sorry sweetie. Might wanna take those stilettos off." Mom replies with a slight smile.
Lyla sighs before walking towards the stairs.
"However you Lydia, your shoes are okay for today's activities." Dad responded
Once Lyla came back downstairs in black boots they all made their way out the door and to the first house. It was greenish and it actually looked pretty nice from the outside. They walked up to the door and her mother knocked and she rocked on her heels waiting for the door to open.. it only took like 5 seconds.
"Hi, you must be the new neighbors. Please, come in." A man said short hair and very intimidating look to him.
Lydia walked inside with her parents and sister and she scanned the house, it looked pretty nice.. expensive for sure.
This family must be rich or something.
"Im Chris Argent." The man says
"Argent? French for silver." Lyla says
"That's right." He nods. "My daughter Allison is out but she should be back any—"
"Dad!" A voice yells from the back of the house.
"—Minute. That's her. Allison! Come introduce yourself sweetheart." Chris says waiting for his daughter to come towards us.
