"We can't come to Naruto's wedding."
"What?"
Sakura was having her usual dinner with her parents. They do this twice a month, she visits them in their home to bond and catch up with other.
"Mum, dad, why aren't you coming?" Sakura asked again.
"We have to retrieve a scroll in the Hidden Village of the Mist. We can't make it to the wedding."
Sakura's parents are the first line of shinobis in their clan, earning jounin as their ranks.
"Why would Kakashi-sensei send you out? Can't he have others to dispatch?"
"Dear, its 'hokage-sama'. And he assigned us because this is related to our previous mission. Just because Naruto is getting married it does not mean that missions should be put on halt."
Sakura inaudibly sighed then later agreed, "Alright, just take care of yourselves, hm?" she said as she put a chopstick of food in her mouth.
"We always do. Anything you want?"
"Just the usual." Ever since Sakura was young, her parents would bring different kinds of flowers and plants for her that couldn't be found in their village. Even though Sakura became a shinobi herself, she doesn't collect the plants herself so that her parents would still have this sense of excitement giving her something once they arrive home from their missions.
"Send a letter once you arrive there, mum and dad, okay?"
"We will, honey."
Finishing their meals, Sakura bid her farewell to their parents before they leave for their mission tonight.

Sakura was doing her usual paperworks for the afternoon, drowning herself to avoid having another pile of papers after Naruto's wedding tomorrow. Sasuke hasn't arrived in her office yet to do his usual 'waiting'.
A knock was heard in her door and three, well-known ninjas, opened it. Sakura was shocked with their sudden appearances.
"Kazekage-sama." Sakura bowed. "Temari-san. Kankuro-san." she greeted the other two beside Suna's Kazekage.
Sakura knows they're here in Konoha, since they are invited for Naruto's wedding and they arrived yesterday. What shocked her is their appearance in her office, at the hospital. It's unusual for her to see them here knowing they don't have any appointments.
"You can drop the formalities, Sakura." Gaara said. "We apologize for the sudden visit, as well. I know you don't accept patients after three and we didn't really made an appointment but someone here needs a check-up." Gaara said, glancing at the woman on his left.
"And I said, I don't need the both of you to accompany me." Temari glared at her brothers.
"What can I do for you?" Sakura smiled at them, admiring their weird sibling relationship.
"I'm..." Temrai trailed off, looking at her brothers shyly, a sign that maybe she does admit she needs them here.
"You're...?" Sakura asking her to continue on.
"I'm carrying Shikamaru's child." Temari finally said. Sakura was surprised yet happy. She knew the couple married in Suna a month ago and held a small celebration here in Konoha for Shikamaru's friends but she didn't think that they would have a child immediately.
"Congratulations, Temari!!" Sakura clasped her hands together, eyes gleaming in excitement. "So you're here for your first mother check-up?" Sakura smiled at her lovingly.
