Sakura opened her eyes as she glanced at her bedroom window where the sun was illuminating its ray on her face. The birds are singing like a pleasant alarm on her ears signifying another peaceful day for Konoha.
Sitting up and stretching her arms in the air, she remembered what happened yesterday with Sasuke when a blush slowly appeared on her cheeks, doubting if what happened yesterday was real.
As she moved around her bed to sit on the edge, she noticed a paper on her desk.
'Went training with dobe. See you later at your office.'
Smiling at herself, she thinks that his gesture was sweet, leaving notes for her so that she wouldn't be wary about his sudden disappearance.
Sakura sat in front if her parents' grave right after cleaning herself up for the day's schedule. It's been a while since she last saw them yet the pain of losing them was still there. Sure, she might've forgot that they're gone but that was a good sign, relieving her of the pain that could've affected her mission. But she can't lie about how she's grieving right now as she read their names on the stone. The pain was as painful as the first time Kakashi told her about their death.
Releasing a heavy sigh, she looked up at the sky and smiled weakly.
"Mum, dad, I got the scroll." she started as her eyes began to glistened.
"It sure was a hard one, and frustrating, might I add." she said as she giggled to herself.
"But I can't help to imagine... What if you guys looked for it, would you two be able to find it?" she asked, as if she will receive an answer.
"I mean, the only reason we found it was because of Sasuke's visual prowess. Without it, I don't think we could've gotten that scroll."
"So... if you two were to look for it, would you guys find it?"
Sakura then directed her eyes back to their stone. "I'm sorry. I'm not doubting your skills but we're still a clan with no kekkei genkai or some sort of powerful thing to be recognized and I can't help but think how you guys would retrieve such scroll hidden so... so magically."
"But seemingly that you both got your hands on 4 other scrolls means your really skillful, right, mum and dad?" she was now smiling but tears were already falling down her cheeks.
"Lord 4th trusted everything to you two. You guys must be pretty incredible. Why didn't you let me witnessed that?" she cried.
"I grew up thinking we're nothing special! That we're just shinobis who worked hard for their positions! I worked my ass off so I could get my name out there!" Sakura was now in distress.
"And you sealed the house! What am I supposed to do now, mum and dad? What am I supposed to do without the both of you?!"
Sakura cried her heart out, releasing all the pain, frustration, and exhaustion about their loss that she gated for months. She looked at their names on the stone and was about to punch it, she didn't want to see their names there, she wanted them to be alive.
"Sakura." a hand held her fist.
Looking up, she saw Kakashi looking at her solemnly.
"Kakashi-sensei..."
"I don't think that punching their grave would bring them back, Sakura." he said as he let go of the kunoichi's hand and placed a bouquet of white lilies on their grave.
