*song that Brianna and Jeremy were dancing to*

Brianna's POV:

I was in my room, sitting on my bed and going through my phone; when my phone buzzed. I checked to see what it was. To my luck, it was a text message from Jeremy.

'Remember, tonight I'm picking you up so we can have our make-up dance. Don't forget to wear your homecoming outfit. See ya soon.'

"Shit. I better call Haley and invite her over so she can make me look appropriate. 'Cause lord knows I have no idea on how to put on makeup."

I went to my contacts and clicked Haley's number. It ringed three times before Haley picked up.

"Hey Brianna. Whatcha need?"

"Haley, Jeremy just sent me a text reminding me about our little make-up dance tonight. I need your help with making me look decent."

"Say no more. I'll be there as quick as I can."

"Thanks Haley."

"No problem. After all, you deserve this and so does he. See ya soon."

I clicked the end call button and got up from my bed. Since I had some time, I decided I mine as well get a snack. So, with that in mind, I headed downstairs and into the kitchen. My aunt was in there; preparing dinner. I went passed her so I could get into the cabinet with the Oreos.

"Hello Brianna. Did you want me to make you a snack or something?"

"No thanks. Oreos will hold me over."

She paused for a second before screaming and embracing me. Did I do something wrong? Did I say something wrong? Oh, say something, that's right. I forgot to let my aunt know I was talking again. Or maybe, since she was busy all the time, I didn't have time to show her.

"Oh my gosh! When did you start speaking again?! This is a miracle!"

"Well...I started four days ago."

"Really? You've been speaking for that long? How come I never heard you?"

"Maybe it's because you're always so busy with work."

She stopped hugging me and looked at me.

"You're right. I'm sorry Brianna, I haven't been there for you."

"It's not your fault auntie. You're so busy at the hospital that you barely have time to breathe. I understand if you can't hang out with me all the time."

"Well thank you sweetie. Oh, I can't wait to see how your uncle reacts to this."

"Ah yeah. Anyway, I have a dance tonight."

"Really? I thought you only had homecoming and prom at your school."

"Oh it's not at the school. See the boy who was my date to homecoming decided we could have a make-up dance since I sort of ditched the other one."

"Oh, is this boy cute?"

My cheeks started to burn as I nodded my head "yes."

"Well that's good. As long as he treats you right. Now go along. I know you probably called Haley over to get you ready."

Man, my aunt was like...i don't know. She basically knew my every move like the back of her hand. And that sometimes, scared me.

"Yeah. How did you know that?"

"Well let's see. You are going on a date and since the guys cute, you probably want to impress him. But you don't know how to do makeup."

"Huh? You're good."
