Jeremy's POV:
After two weeks of going to my house, Brianna finally decided we can go to her's for a change. I don't know why she wouldn't in the first place. You know, unless she has something personal there. Ugh.
When I got on the bus, I instantly spotted Brianna, looking out the window. I guess the outside world was really fascinating to her. Well, either that or she was thinking. Probably about those dreams that she has, or a proper word would be nightmares.
I don't know why she wouldn't tell me about them. I was just trying to help. I mean, she probably gets sick and tired of having those bad dreams. And if they keep occuring, then it must be something that happened to her. Oh well. She'll tell me when she wants to.
Brianna's POV:
As usual, I was staring out the window and waiting for Jeremy to come. He would always start a conversation with me, even if I didn't reply. But now it seems like he's stopped. I'm pretty sure it's from me not telling him about my dreams, but I just couldn't. I promised myself that I wasn't going to let anyone know, and that's how it was going to remain.
He finally sat by me. But instead of starting a conversation, he just put his earphones in. He must be really annoyed with me right about now.
- 6 minutes later -
My stop arrived. I gently tapped Jeremy, but he didn't respond. So I simply punched him. Once I did that, he took out his earphones.
"Ow! What the hell?!" He shouted.
I looked at him and moved my hands to signal that this was the stop.
"Oh. Ok then, lets go."
He got up and I followed him. Once we got off, the bus drove off and he just stood there.
"How does it feel?"
I looked up at him confused. What was he talking about?
"I mean how does it feel to be ignored? It sucks doesn't it. But not to worry. I gotton use to it because of you."
That made me feel guilty. Yes, I did ignore him a lot in first period, so I could see where he was coming from.
"So anyways, where is your house?"
I looked up at him and pointed to the right.
"Can you be more specific?" he asked.
I huffed and grabbed his right arm, dragging him to my house. It didn't take us long. And when we got there, I released his arm. I saw him looking around and observing. He probably wasn't use to normal sized houses.
I decided to tap him to snap him out of his thoughts, and it worked this time.
"Huh. Oh, well you have a nice house."
I nodded my head and started to go through my backpack to find my key. When I found it, I put it in the lock and tried to open the door.
After about a couple tries, I gave up. This door was being a real dick, and of course, it's when someone's over.
"Do you want me to try?" asked Jeremy while giggling.
I looked up at him and nodded my head. Maybe he would have a better shot than me. And just as I thought, he got the door open without any trouble.
We both went inside and I got my key from the door. He stood there, taking in his surroundings. I was getting a little nervous now. My aunt had a lot of pictures around the house. So, I was hoping they didn't give Jeremy any clues.
Jeremy's POV:
I looked around Brianna's house. It was pretty big and very clean. I don't know why she didn't want me to come here. I didn't see anything wrong. But then again, the more personal stuff was probably in her room. That didn't matter now. Right now, we needed to focus on the project.
"Hey Brianna. Where do you want us to work?"
She turned around and looked at me with her big, brown eyes. Then, she pointed to the stairs. Maybe she wasn't to afraid of me going in her room after all.
I let her lead the way. And, when we got there, I could see her hesitating on wether or not to open it.
"Brianna. If you don't want me going in your room, then I'm fine with going downstairs. "
She shook her head. Then, opened the door. When I saw it, I noticed her room was different from most girls. Her walls didn't have any color and weren't decorated with any pictures. But hey, if that's how she likes it, then who am I to judge.
I went in and sat at her desk. She took the chair next to me and started to pull out the project stuff.
"Ok. So I'm almost done with the paper. Just need a couple more paragraphs. How is the poster going?"
She pulled it out from behind the desk.
When she showed it to me, my mouth dropped. The poster looked amazing, and I could tell that she drew it.
"Damn Brianna. You can draw really well. How did you learn to draw like that?"
She shrugged her shoulders and continued on with drawing. I pulled out my laptop and continued to write.
- 8 minutes later -
After a while of working, Brianna looked up at me. She got her notebook and wrote down what she had to say and handed it to me.
'I have to go to the bathroom. Be right back.'
"Ok."
She got up and headed to her bathroom. While she was in there, I decided to get up and stretch. That's when I noticed a picture behind her big computer. I picked it up and looked at it.
It was a picture of Brianna when she was younger. But then I noticed another thing. The people in the picture looked different than the people in the pictures downstairs.
I flipped the picture to the back and read the sentence on the back.
'Mommy and daddy with me.'
This was making me very curious now. If these are Brianna's parents, then who where those people in all those pictures downstairs?
I quickly put the picture back before Brianna came back, but I wasn't going to forget this.
