Jeremy's POV:
Ever since I had developed my crush on Brianna, I haven't been able to function properly. She's the only thing I have on my mind. It's even gotten to the point where I've been failing my tests. And I never fail! I need something to happen so I could get my mind off of this.
This morning I decided to head to the court yard to hang out with Max before first period. And, as I was walking, I noticed a ton of people crowded around this wall. I couldn't exactly see why, but it didn't matter to me. So I continued to head to the court yard.
I finally got there and spotted Max sitting next to the big tree in the middle of the court yard. I walked up to him and sat next to him.
"Hey, Jeremy. What's up?"
"Just tired."
He looked at me and spoke again.
"Is it because of the whole crush on Brianna thing?"
My head snapped in his direction.
"How did you know?"
"Well, the others may not be able to tell, but I can. And might I say, you've got a mighty big one."
I put my head down on my knees.
"What am I going to do Max? I like her a lot. It's gotten to the point to where I even daydream about her. And might I say, some of them are not appropriate."
He laughed at my last comment.
"Oh gosh. Is it really that bad Jeremy? To where you're having sexual dreams about her?"
"Yup. It's come down to that. I just wish I could figure out a way to make it go away."
"Well maybe you can."
"Oh yeah. How?"
"By asking her to homecoming. It's coming up soon and everyone's getting their dates. Maybe you could ask Brianna?"
Homecoming? Oh. That's why all those people where crowded around that wall. It must of been a poster about the dance.
"Yeah, I guess that could work."
"Awesome. Now lets head to class. Don't want to be late."
We got up and walked to our classes.
Brianna's POV:
Haley, Matthew and I were in the cafeteria just chatting and eating breakfast. Matthew was telling us jokes and Haley was cracking up with laughter. I on the other hand, was thinking. Jeremy has been acting weird lately, and it's got me curious as to why exactly.
"Brianna?"
I snapped my head up.
"I've been calling your name for a while now."
I got my notebook out and wrote down what I had to say.
'Sorry Haley. I've just been thinking about something.'
"Oh. Perhaps a special person?" asked Matthew
I looked at Matthew and wrote again. He was like a guy version of Haley. But instead of talking a lot, he would tell jokes. And now, Haley has him convinced that I have a crush.
'No Matthew. There is no one special, and there is never going to be a special someone. Now stop bugging me about that.'
"Okay. Then what's got you thinking to where you can't even hear someone calling your name?" asked Haley.
