Lemme explain this one, so a couple of weeks ago I was listening to Eraser Girl, a song about two girls who die in a suicide pact because of how cruel the world was towards their relationship (and also Miku and Gumi sound AMAZING together, hate how they're not used together in many songs. MARETU is so good at writing music, putting it above just because it sounds great)

I then got the sudden urge to write a bad ending to Magnet, I plan on the story to have a good ending, mainly because a few of my other stories won't have one (and that historically, queer stories end in tragedy. Back then boomers wanted to make queerness seem like a bad thing, so that's why queer books were required to have a bad ending or else they wouldn't be published. Didn't want to contribute to that.)

So, that's the context for this. It won't be in Magnet, so I'm dropping it here instead.

WARNING! SMALL SPOILERS FOR MAGNET AND SUICIDE! IF SUICIDE IS TRIGGERING TO YOU PLEASE SKIP THIS!

Some things in this chapter sound like they're encouraging suicide, PLEASE DON'T. It's merely for story purposes. Thank you.

The girls tumbled in the forest, hearing the sound of horse hooves coming their way.

They've been in hiding for a month, ever since their little "affair" got out, they became the most wanted criminals in the kingdom. Neighboring kingdoms even keep an eye out for them, and the fairy world is just waiting at the portal for them to step through.

They were found in town just trying to get food, Jade picked up Alex and they flew away, now Jade's too tired to even walk. The girls pant, out of breath, trying to stay hidden amongst the trees.

Alex sat against a tree, staring at the moon. Jade's head rested in her lap, clinging to her thigh for comfort.

"Are you okay..?" Jade asked Alex hoarsely, looking up at her girlfriend with tired, sad eyes. Alex brushed the hair out of Jade's face, cupping her cheek, "Mhmm.." she hummed. As they rested for a moment, hearing the horses get farther, Alex weakly picked up Jade and began to look for shelter.

As she walked, she felt her dress rip and tear from the branches and thorns. Her arms getting cut up and scratched, her hair a hot mess. Her entire body felt weak. Eventually, she found a small cave to rest in for the night. Alex took Jade and carried her into the cave, stumbling before sliding down the cave's wall, still holding her close.

Jade snuggled against Alex, and the other did the same. "I love you," Jade mumbled, "you're the only person I've truly loved in this way." Alex nodded, "I love you too... I never thought I'd ever find love until I met you. You changed my life, Jade."

They sat in a moment of silence before Alex burst into tears, Jade sat up and cupped the blonde's face, concerned, looking into Alex's depressed eyes. She didn't have to say anything, they read each other's minds perfectly.

"I can't... I can't do this anymore, Jade..." Alex wept, "I can't keep running, we can't keep running..."

Jade brought her closer, embracing Alex tightly, "I don't want you to leave me..." Jade murmured, she was starting to cry too. "I can't leave you, Jade..." Alex responded, running her fingers through Jade's raven hair. "This world wants us dead, what are we supposed to do?"

Jade moved a piece of Alex's hair behind her ear, their tear-soaked faces growing closer, "You're the best thing to ever happened to me, Alex. I can't put anything above you, I'd be willing to die to see you still living. If it means I could be with you, I'll run for eternity," Jade wrapped her arms around Alex's waist, feeling the other girl wrap her arms around her neck, bringing each other closer, lips only inches apart, "Would you be willing to run with me?"
