Was listening to Girl in Red and had such a big urge to write these two in a really wholesome, casual relationship. So here I am

...

It was a cool late fall evening, the perfect temperature, not too hot, but not too cold. Jade sat on the roof, looking at the horizon as the sun begins to dip below it. She wore ripped cuffed jeans and a yellow hoodie with a little white cat silhouette on the back. Watching the orange, yellow, and brown leaves blow in the wind.

"Jade?" A familiar voice called out, Jade turned her attention to the source to see the blonde-haired beauty climbing the latter that leads to the roof. Jade flashed her a smile and beckoned her over, Alex sighs, getting on the roof and sitting next to Jade. She hands her a cup of hot chocolate. Jade takes it gladly, seeing that Alex has her own cup.

"So, you wanted to share hot chocolate with me, huh?" Jade asks, taking a sip of the hot chocolate. It was warm, Jade could feel her insides becoming toastier. Alex nodded, watching the sunset with Jade, "What are you doing up here anyway? It's chilly outside, I don't want you to catch a cold!" Alex questioned, a mix of concern and annoyment in her voice. Jade let out a little laugh, "I'm fine, Alex. Don't gotta be such a worrywart."

Alex huffed, taking a sip of hot chocolate and crossing her arms. Jade wrapped an arm around Alex, with a smirk, "Though I do find it adorable that you're so worried about me."

Alex groaned, sounding annoyed but Jade knew she really was just flustered. Alex pushed Jade back and looked away, "Shut up..."

The two started dating around two months ago, nobody except Charli knew. Jade wasn't very good at hiding it, so the two treated every little moment of romantic affection around the squad as a joke. Charli found out one day by walking into Jade's room to find her and Alex making out in Jade's bed. Needless to say, they were busted. Charli promised not to tell anyone, but the two knew there was a high chance she told Luca, her best friend, followed by Luca telling Levi. Still, they weren't sure, so they just said Charli was the only one who knew.

"It's dangerous to be on the roof you know. You could fall." Alex commented, still worrying. "It's fine, don't worry," Jade reassured, "Just don't look down. I'll catch you if you start to fall." Alex turned her attention back on the sunset.

"I mean, it is really pretty watching the sunset from up here..." The blonde admits. Jade didn't respond, just watched with her in a comfortable quiet. Crickets chirped as the sun began to go down, reaching the horizon. A gust of wind blows by, letting the two's hair flow gently in the wind.

Jade turned her attention to Alex, who seemed to have her eyes fixated on the sunset. She noticed how the light made Alex's skin glow, how her blond hair reflected the orange and yellow sky. She was beautiful. Alex was always gorgeous; if Jade didn't have self-control, she'd talk about how pretty Alex was all the time. It was hard enough not to talk about how much she loved Alex as well. Jade took a sip of her hot chocolate, blushing to herself. She felt warm and fuzzy inside and knew it wasn't just due to the hot chocolate.

Watching Alex drink her hot chocolate, how pretty she looked wearing her scarf and sweater, Jade just smiled. Her girl. The words repeated in her head. Alex was her girl.

She smiled, "Hey," she called, drawing Alex's attention away from the sunset, "Did I tell you about how pretty you look right now?" she gushes, Alex's face heats up as she crosses her arms and pouts, embarrassed.

"No, really," Jade went on, Alex glancing at her, "I love this view and with you next to me, I feel like I'm in a painting. I can't believe someone as pretty as you exists and is my girlfriend!" Alex's face just got redder, "I can say the same about you..." she mumbles, catching Jade off guard. Alex flirting back was always adorable to Jade. "Awww!" She cries, leaning her head on Alex's shoulder, "how sweet!"
