Chapter Twenty Seven

"Are you going to leave with us for work today, Jaejae?" Namjoon asked her.

They were having breakfast at home on a Monday morning. Yoongi, Hoseok and Jimin left early because they had to record some of their parts for the new album. And Hoseok was busier than the others because his mixtape Hope World was going to come out in the first week of March.

"Yes, Oppa. For a month I will be interning full time." Jadeline replied to him.

Jadelines's exams for the first semester were over by the second week of February and with that came a three weeks semester break for her. This was her first vacation here but this time she would not be able to sleep in till late because now she had a job. She would go to work by 9 in the morning and stay there till 6 p.m.

"Don't forget your jacket Jadeline. You cannot be careless about your health. The temperature is dropping more and more each evening." Namjoon warned her.

Jadeline went to her room to wear her warmer jacket then joined the members in the van.

"Could you drop me a few metres away from the building, please?" Jadeline asked the driver nervously. He nodded.

"Why?" Taehyung asked her.

"Because I don't wanna be seen with you guys." Jadeline answered biting her lips.

"Yah. Are we not cool enough to be seen with you?" Jin asked her loudly.

"No, Jin Oppa. It's because none of my co-interns know about me knowing you all and I would like to keep it that way." Jadeline explained patiently.

Jungkook put his arm on Jadeline's shoulder and brought her closer. He kept his head on her shoulder and closed his eyes. In a few minutes his loud snores could be heard throughout the van.

"I have told him many times to not burn himself out but he never listens to me." Namjoon whispered his complain to the eldest member of the group. Jin was the one Namjoon looked up to. Everyone in their group came to Namjoon with complains but he went to Jin and Yoongi.

"You know how stubborn he is with being perfect, Hyung. I have learnt to let it go now." Taehyung said to him.

Jadeline was hearing all this but had closed her eyes and was trying to relax. Jungkook was a chaotic person in general. He would play around with his Hyungs and tease Jimin and Jadeline all day long but there was something about his presence which made Jadeline calm. His hands were warm even in this cold weather. Jadeline sought them out to hold them whenever they sat near each other because her hands were always freezing. Jungkook complained and made a fuss about her cold hands but never pushed them away instead he rubbed them to make them warm and tucked them gently.

The driver stopped the van a few metres away from the building. Jadeline nudged Jungkook to wake him up so that she could leave. He whined in his sleep but moved away.

"Be safe and work hard." He mumbled to her in a sleepy voice.

"Okay Uncle Jungkook." She replied teasingly.

He gave her a toothy grin.

Jadeline went upstairs to the interns' office. The other interns were sitting in a circle and were discussing something in an excited tone.

"Why wasn't I made aware of this 'secret' meeting?" Jadeline asked them.

"Did you check your mail yet?" Samyoung asked her. He was another intern.

"No, I haven't had the time to." She replied, confused.

"We are going to join the BTS members for a three days tour to Busan tomorrow." Yuna said excitedly. Showing this much excitement was out of character for her.

The other interns were also smiling from eye to eye.

"That's exciting." Jadeline said.

"Why aren't you jumping with joy? We will be meeting them for the first time tomorrow." Yuna accused her.

Jadeline knew for a fact that Yuna had already met Jungkook and made conversation with him for a good ten minutes but she kept her mouth shut because Yuna would be suspicious as to how she knew all this.

"I am excited. But we will probably not be able to be around them a lot. I am sure we will be swamped with work." Jadeline dragged a chair and joined the circle.

"Talk about yourself. I will be doing their make up for the performance." Hana told her.

Their phones buzzed. It was Sejin asking them to come downstairs to be briefed about the short trip tomorrow.

Yuna was ahead all of them. Her heels were clicking on the floor loudly. Her body was swaying perfectly with every step she took. Her black shirt and white skirt complimented her very nicely. Jadeline looked down at her own sneakers and felt conscious. She was sure her red t-shirt that said 'whatever' and black skinny jeans were not very professional but she was just an intern not a grown up employee yet. She could not afford those type of clothes. Besides, the members had already seen her outfit but they hadn't seen Yuna looking like she owned the place. Jadeline wanted to achieve her level of confidence.

"I wanted to introduce you to all our artists but not everyone was available. I hope you all are well informed that you will be leaving for Busan tomorrow along with BTS. I want you to be here at 5 a.m. you will be leaving Seoul before sunrise." Bang Si Hyuk informed the interns. He made no special indication towards Jadeline. And she felt thankful to him for treating her just like the other.

He asked them to follow him into another room. Inside the room the members of BTS were sitting on two couches, well, more like squishing on two couches, although there was an empty one on the left. They did this a lot, sat squished together looking like little toddlers at school waiting to be scolded by a teacher for disrupting class.

Jadeline smiled at the sight.

"Guys, I would like you to meet the new interns. They joined the company a while back and two of them will go on to join us as employees after their temporary testing period of six months. You will be going to Busan with them. I suggest you get to know each other. Only the security team will be going with you along with a few other employees. The gig is a small one and we want to see how the newbies handle things so they are in charge of the entire performance." Bang Si Hyuk explained and left them to introduce themselves.

"Is it just me or are they shining?" Samyoung asked Jadeline bending closer to her ears.

Jadeline hushed him and gave him an exasperated look.

Hana who was beside them replied, "They are definitely shining."

Jimin was curiously looking towards them. Jadeline raised her eyebrows towards him but he just blinked his eyes and shook his head.

The members introduced themselves formally as they did on appearances.

"Dul, Set, anneonghaseoyo Bangtan Sonyeondan imnida. (Hey! We are BTS)."

Jadeline always wondered how they were always perfectly in sync.

The interns introduced themselves. After the introductions were over they decided to go over their itinerary for tomorrow.

Jadeline and Hana were standing close to Jimin, Taehyung and Jungkook. He was still looking curiously towards them.

"Oh God! Now I remember who you are. You are that girl who was nearly hit by a car that night." Jimin exclaimed pointing at Hana.

"You are the guy who saved my life?" Hana asked him puzzled.
