Yes, it is BTS in the picture above. Billboard singers, grammy nominated, not a big deal XD XD
The words which are not in the given language will be in Italics.
Like this chapter is in English so the Korean words they speak will be in Italics.
Jadeline had never seen any pair of eyes as beautiful as that man's. They were so deep and dark that they nearly looked completely black. When he was looking into her eyes she felt as if he was looking into her soul. And so she tried not to meet his eyes again. It was very difficult for her to control herself from blushing crimson whenever she felt his gaze on her. And she felt like such an idiot to be feeling like this because she had no idea who he was and all she saw were his eyes she did not even see his entire face because of the mask. He was wearing an all black outfit.
She felt sad that he could not speak and she was curious to know what had happened to him but she pushed her curiosity back because she could not ask a stranger or anyone for that matter about something like that. Because it was rude to ask people things that were this personal, if someone wanted you to know their story they would tell it to you. You should never pester or force them.
Life was just like a test. But it was the only test that Jadeline could not ace no matter how hard she tried to. Within a week her life had turned upside down. She was now in a different country and had no idea what the future held for her.
Jadeline ate her sandwich in silence and left the cafe when she got a call from Namjoon to meet at the entrance of the building in two minutes. The owners of the café were very sweet to her. They even gave her a complimentary donut when they got to know that she had travelled a long way. When she was talking to them she realised that she needs to brush up her Korean speaking skills and also stop speaking in English assuming that people would know the language because frankly they did not need to know it. English was the language which was vastly spoken in America and not here.
The lobby downstairs was long and the elevator was at the very end of it. The apartment complex looked so lavish with its white walls, paintings, high ceiling and low hanging chandeliers that Jadeline felt nervous with every step she took so as not to make the floor dirty with her old shoes.
Namjoon pushed the button to the twelfth floor. Their house was at the twelfth floor, great so much for Jadeline being afraid of heights. She will never be able to look down from her window without feeling dizzy.
Jadeline stood beside Namjoon who was opening the door by putting a passcode in a small machine and pressing his thumb for scanning his fingerprints. He then used his key to open it. They had pretty tight security around here.
Jadeline would never be prepared for what happened next. The door of the house opened to a living room space which was beautifully decorated in muted pastel colours giving the entire place a very homely vibe. Her mother liked pastels. There was a huge television facing the sofas which screamed expensive to her. There were also chandeliers hanging from the ceiling. And tall lamps were lit in the corners of the room. What was it with rich people and extravagant lighting?
"Guys where are you?" Namjoon asked to no one in particular in Korean.
At the sound of his voice some men came out of the hallway. They came rushing out of there pushing one another to reach to Namjoon first. Jadeline was not sure whether she should refer to them as men or boys because they were acting like twelve year olds.
"Never leave me alone with these idiots for so long Joon." One of the boys who was a little shorter than the others and had weirdly appealing hands said to Namjoon. His face was kind of expressionless. His presence sort of exuded wisdom? Jadeline could not put that into words.
Namjoon laughed and fist bumped him.
There were five people present except for them. Jadeline thought the band had seven members.
Another guy came up to Namjoon and hugged him tightly. He had a smile on his face which for some reason reminded Jadeline of flowers and beautiful fields. It was oddly comforting.
"You were away from a week and only called me once. I thought we '94 liners were supposed to stick together Namjoon-ah." He said while still hugging Namjoon.
"Okay enough of this now it's my turn to welcome Hyung." Another guy came and hugged Namjoon tightly. He had the most breathtakingly beautiful face Jadeline had ever seen. His eyes were almost shaped like an almond. He had an earring in one of his ears and a red bandana on his head. From standing next to Namjoon, Jadeline could smell the same perfume on the guy that she had smelled back in the Van. He must be Taehyung. Wow, how must it feel to look that perfect Jadeline thought.
The next person to greet Namjoon was Park Jimin. Jadeline knew him. Actually he was the only member of BTS she knew by name and face other than her own cousin. She had seen some of their music videos and this man knew how to perform. His voice was soothing and his dancing skills were fire. He was wearing a white shirt and black jeans. He had a few bracelets on his hands and he had blonde hair. Which suited him a little too much and it made Jadeline blush for some reason. She quickly moved her gaze from him.
The next guy to greet Namjoon was tall nearly as tall as her cousin. He was also blonde. He had glasses on and unlike others who wore at least some type of accessories he was wearing none. And Jadeline thought with a face like that he probably would never have to wear any accessory because no matter what people must always be looking at his handsome face. How could one look away from it?
"Namjoon-ah, Jungkook cried day before yesterday when we were seeing an episode of Friends. He said it reminded him of you." He told Namjoon who smiled after hearing this while all the others laughed. No one seemed bothered or embarrassed by that piece of information so maybe no one here was Jungkook. It clicked in Jadeline's mind that he must be the last member left.
Jadeline knew that her cousin had learned English by watching the Sitcom Friends. It must be different for him to learn another language because English was a foreign language for him unlike Jadeline. English was her first language and Korean was kind of like her home language she just knew how to speak both since she could talk. Korean was talked in her home at times but her parents mostly conversed with her in English. Her father used to see the Korean news a lot so maybe that is why she knew the language. Other than these two languages Jadeline could only speak Spanish but she was not fluent in it. Spanish was the elective subject she took in School and contrary to popular belief you cannot become fluent in a language that you are taught in a public school. The students used to mug up the subject before tests and quizzes. But Jadeline being the goody two shoes that she was used to practice it at home, so she knew nearly 80% of it.
They heard sounds coming from the hallway so they all turned towards the source of it. A guy was coming towards the living room he was cleaning the front of his shirt with some tissues, a big smile came on his face when he saw Namjoon.
"Namjoon Hyung." He just greeted him and hugged him tightly. Namjoon also hugged him back.
Then his attention turned towards Jadeline and their eyes locked.
"I thought you couldn't speak!"
"You are the girl who bought me coffee!"
They both exclaimed at the same time.
