It had been years since quirks were discovered by mankind. You had heard the story a thousand times, and you'll always hear different versions in the future. That was part was fairly inevitable. People had many different kinds of quirks, some useful, some destructive, some useless and doesn't affect everyday life. Some quirks caused certain mutations, and as other people would like to call it 'monsters'. You never liked the term to refer to others, and never will you use it in a derogatory manner. You were way above that and knew they had as many feelings as anyone else.
Still, you had caught yourself to be in the middle of the rain season in Japan. if you had a flying quirk, like pro hero Hawks, your view would be nothing but umbrellas moving with each other, in opposite directions, the occasional out of color umbrella among the rest of course. like you and your frog umbrella. It never occurred to you that maybe you should get rid of the childlike umbrella and get a new one. Because it was never on your to-do list anyways. the umbrella would always be clutched by your hand on rainy days just like this.
Despite the rain and gloomy atmosphere around you, you always found yourself in a small garden. It was located near a park, though, you couldn't find to care about the name of said park. You just knew it was a wonderful spot to be in and there was a small garden section that was always vacant. It wasn't that you didn't want to be around people. You couldn't care less about the people around you. Just that, days like these you were fine with being by yourself on rainy days. The small section of flowers was your haven.
It's hard to say when you found this section honestly. Maybe when you were little and tried to do what little kids did. No, maybe not. You were certain about what drove you to go there every rainy day. But it wasn't something that you wanted to talk about. You wondered about it every other week but right now you didn't care. You were just happy to be there. Same sets of snacks, same cold can of your favorite drink all in one bag and ready to be eaten. The place always smelled like wet flowers and grass on days like these. They were always a highlight for your time there.
Holding your bag of sweets in your right hand, your schoolbag in the other, you found your way to the garden. At the bench section. There was a small pond by it, filled with fishes of all kinda and surrounded by small flowers and lily pads. You always saw a few frogs at some point, leaping around, consuming the occasional bugs, and even jumping inside the pond. For some reason, the sight of a frog doing so amused you. That never stopped you from feeling mixed feelings about frogs. It was like some sort of love-hate relationship you could say.
However, one step closer to your haven, you noticed an unfamiliar figure sitting by the bench. They didn't have the same uniform as you did. It looked way too fancy for your liking. 'Must be from an elite school.' That is what you decided to conclude. 'Could it be from U.A? I swear the uniform looks familiar' Despite the rainy atmosphere, you were still able to scope out the person sitting in your usual seat. Of course, you can't just kick them out. Not like you own the place, but still. It WAS your special heaven.
Well, cheer up. What's the worse that can happen. Besides the person seemed to be doing fine. It looked like they were drinking a bottle of water and eating.. eggs? Were those eggs? You were hesitant to move but didn't wanna seem weird by just standing there and watching a random person enjoy their breakfast. But why here. They have a school to go to, right? No no, that wasn't any of your business for the most part, but it did entice you. No, that's enough stalling. It'll only be awkward if you make it awkward. go on, sit.
"Excuse me" From the rain and light fog you heard a voice. "Are you just gonna stare or take a seat?"
