Liar. You didn't doubt it, you believed it- or wanted to. No elite student would appear in your haven. Not like you owned it, but still. You both were probably the same age, and he just showed up- RANDOMLY. You weren't sure of the idea of soulmates or even small coincidences, but in this case, you wanted to believe that this happened for a reason. Your life was always average. Sorta. Before high school had begun you dealt with... an accident. One of which you rather not remember. Right now, you wanted the universe to guide you.

And it did. There he was the next day, eating a donut, sitting at the same spot, rain still falling, you still holding your umbrella and you still watching. You were quick this time, making your way to a seat before he had called you again. Less tension. You took out your bottle of water and took a sip. There he was, writing or sketching something quite unfamiliar to you. It looked like he was sketching certain patterns and designs for.. shoes? Was he interested in shoes? You couldn't help but laugh, letting out a small giggle.

"What's so funny?" He asked. You looked up from your bottle of water, caught off guard by his sudden question.

"I was thinking of something funny is all" you answered and took another sip, hoping he would drop it at that. For a while he did. The silence loomed over the two of you as if a dark aura refused for the two of you to interact.

You saw him check his watch again, picked up his things, and wished you a nice day and you did the same. Seeing him run off until you couldn't see his figure had you enlightened. There was indeed something about him. And you wanted to know what it was.

The next morning was the same to you. Rainy weather, packed 'breakfast' and a good attitude. The rain never made you gloomy, quite the opposite. The streets were quiet, empty this morning, unlike most days. Turning to each corner you always came across a puddle. And each time you always stepped on it. 'Haha, look who's above you. Dumb, dumb, puddle. You are nothing' you thought to yourself and continued walking until you made it to your regular spot.

There he was AGAIN. Three times in a row? Seriously? No this wasn't normal, quite the opposite, and you wondered what it could mean. 'What do you have in store, universe?' That was all you could ask. There you were again, taking another seat next to him, drinking a bottle of water and hoping he leaves soon to eat your sweets. You rather not be judged by a stranger.

"Do you not eat in the morning?" He had asked and looked up from his sketchbook again. You looked back at him and nodded. "I do- I have my breakfast I just-"

"I'm not going to judge you if your breakfast is bad, but- wait do I smell chocolate?"

"Oh, yes actually!" You answered and reached for your bag. You dug through it before handing him 3 different bars of chocolate. "Would you like one?"

"No, no, I'm all right thank you though" he hummed and went back to his sketchbook. You were fine with the answer and opened one bar for yourself. "Why do you eat chocolates in the morning though?" He asked. You looked at him and shrugged. "It suits me. What are you drawing there?" You pointed at his sketchbook, noticing the sketches outlined as some sort of shoe pattern.

He put the book away. "Ah, nothing! It's nothing" he answered, looking away from you now. Was it a personal question? Had you messed up? You dropped the subject and looked out towards the pond. Minutes had passed and still no form of talk at all, until Sero had broken it, again.

"What's your name?"

"I'm [Y/N], [L/N]. And you?"

"I'm Sero Hanta."
