Taking a step on school grounds, you brushed your school uniform off any chocolate crumbs from the morning. You had already missed the first period. It wasn't worth your time anyway considering the first period was always just check-in and any sort of schedule change. No, that didn't matter to you, you were pretty average with adapting with a said schedule for any reason at all and it wasn't like they did it often. Don't think teachers were oblivious to such behavior. They had always called your parents explaining your tardiness but they always said it was more medical reasons. Go, parents.

The second period was about to begin and you already had to get your right textbook from the locker. Was there homework last night? Did you even do it? Ah, that didn't matter right now. Walking past the group of kids, laughing and talking and talking about the latest magazine issue, you made it to your correct classroom and entered. You weren't lonely. You wouldn't put it that way at least. People knew you, but they just didn't know you. Except for one person. They were okay. You two would talk a few times during lunch. Both of you appeared to be loners

But what was okay. You two met when you were in the supply closet, avoiding cleaning time. The awkward look you gave each other only lasted a second before you scooted over to form a seat and the two of you have been friends since. Most conversations occurred during lunch, the two of you had always talked about different interests but never about each other. Of course, they would ask why you were always late but you never answered or you'll dodge the question. They took a hint and stopped asking for the most part but you knew their curiosity.

It got the better of them at times. Who were you to complain? You had your fair share of asking and snooping around and asking questions, hell at one point you tried to stalk an upperclassman because of untalkable rumors. It didn't end well. You were caught by him, cursed out at, and chased around for a while until you lost him at an alleyway and walked the rest of the way home. At least it was too dark for him to catch your face. Thank the universe for that, rather than yourself.

As if school just began, it was already time for lunch. Ah, of course, you had forgotten to pack your own. Your main concern was your breakfast and now you don't have a lunch to last the rest of the day. You had made your way through the hallways, listening to your classmates continue to gossip and talk about pro heroes. The idea of becoming a hero had never crossed your mind. Maybe some sort of bakery owner. Still, you didn't want to go to school and get a degree and permit just to own a store that might have 3 customers a day each anyways.

"Hey,[Y/N]!" Someone called. You looked up and speaking of the devil, [Y/F]. You waved back to them, an invitation for them to join you. You admired how quick and wise they were sometimes. Their uniform had no wrinkles, their lunch was wrapped perfectly and their appearance always seemed to outshine others for you. No, it wasn't you idolizing them, more so wishing to be them. They reminded you of the main character sometimes. Weird, huh? The main character with one friend? Who can imagine that? They slid over to your spot and greeted you.

"I thought you were going to be absent today! I keep forgetting about your tardiness."

"No worries, it was the same morning as always"

"..Was it?" They grinned at you, the same expression they had when they expected details of your absence in the morning. Today wasn't the same, but what were you supposed to say. Revealing a little couldn't hurt.

"Okay okay, I was at the garden this morning for the first period"

"The one at the park?"

"Yes. I enjoy rainy weather and decided to stop by."

"So THAT'S what you've been doing [Y/N]?! Why didn't you say anything sooner!"

You couldn't help but smile at the reaction. Wasn't what you expected, but it wasn't a bad thing anyway. "It never occurred to me. I just didn't see it as important. Today was... different, I guess."

"You guess?"

"No one visits that garden. I go there almost every day and no once have I seen someone unless it was a couple of tourists. But today I met a student. From U.A."

"U.A?!" You covered your hand on [Y/F]'s mouth as a way to keep quiet. "SH!" You furrowed your eyebrows and removed your hand. "Yes. I think."

"You think?"

"I'm not sure, but he had the uniform."

"HE?!"

"Yes now, will you KEEP IT DOWN?!"

[Y/F] nodded and kept quiet, waiting for you to continue. Taking a deep breath you continued.

"We didn't have a conversation. We just talked about the rain for a few seconds then he had to leave. His hair tho was.. it was nice. I like his hair. I didn't catch his name though, I doubt he would ever come there again."

"As if you would know. Who knows [Y/N], maybe the universe is on your side!"

"The universe? Yeah right. I doubt it."

You didn't doubt it for a second, did you?
