Pentatonix had gone home. Bar Scott, since he lives here. "We should learn some more about each other. I mean like, we met about a week ago," Scott suggested. "Yeah, that is a good idea," I stated. We sat in the kitchen and swapped stories and favorite things. After we had finished, I asked something. "Can I redecorate my room?" "Of course! I'll help if you want," Scott replied.
I laughed. "I don't want or need help. I have a great idea. And you can't see it until it's done," I smirked. "Aww, okay. Can I have a hint about it?" Scott asked. "Hmm. It will be a blue theme," I said. "For now, I'm going shopping for the stuff I'll need. Thankfully my room is square." Scott nodded as I took $100 from the benefactors money. "Have fun," Scott called as I left the door.
I reached the hardware store and got everything I needed. It totaled up to over $100 but I payed for some with my own money. I had a big surprised for Pentatonix so I wouldn't spend any more benefactor money. I drove home and hauled my bags and the big roll of wallpaper through the building. I walked in, dumped my bags in my room. "Scott, I'm home!" I called.
No answer. In the sitting room was a note. It read:
Gone out with Pentatonix. Won't be back until about nine. Call me when you get back. We have no food left so here's 30 bucks for a takeaway. I'll also be going shopping. Love you. Scott xxxI smiled as I read the last three words. I called Scott like he had requested. "Hello?" Came from the phone. "Hi Scott. You said to call in the note," I said. "Ok, just checking you're ok. I would've called but you left your cell at home. And babe, don't do anything stupid," Scott said. "I won't. And thanks for the money," I answered. "Love you, bye." "Love you too." I hung up.
I walked in to my room and moved the shelf and chester drawers out. I then moved the bed side cabinets out. I pushed the bed and wardrobe into the center so I could see the plain white wall. I rolled up my sleeves and began measuring the wall and cutting wallpaper. After that, I stuck it to the wall. That took a while. I then realized how hungry I was. I walked to the kitchen and noticed the time. It was 6:30. I picked up the phone and ordered pizza and chips. I decided I work until then.
"I should be done before Scott gets back," I murmured to myself. I hung the curtains where the beige ones used to be. I got that done then I heard the door bell ring. I grabbed the money Scott had left and took my food. I sat in the sitting room and listened to music while I ate half the pizza and a few chips. I thought it would be nice to leave Scott the rest, so I did. "Back to work," I smiled to myself.
I went into my room and hung up the lampshade I bought. Now for the hard part. I bought 3 UV lights. One for the top of each wall except the wall where the two windows were. I managed to get them in the center most of each wall at the top. I wiped my fore head. That was when I realized the floor. It was perfect. Really dark brown wood planks. I hung the fairy lights down all four corners. I cleaned up and moved all my furniture back. By now it was 8:30. I changed my bed spread to something a little fishy. Literally.
I stood back and smiled. "Job well done, Imogen." I heard someone say behind me. Two arms snaked around my waist from behind. "Why thank you Scott. Together we admired the aquarium wallpaper, blue UV lights that were currently on, high lighting the wall paper. The fairy lights, which we white were on two. They weren't that bright but I liked it. The blue lamp shade hung above us but I didn't have the actual light on. And like I said, the fishy bed spread was there, covered in anemone and fish. "It's really beautiful," Scott gasped as he admired the room. "Thanks," I blushed as I gave him a quick peck on the cheek.
