Me and Nicolas we're walking toward the lobby followed by a dozen of bodyguards. Some of the guests were confused but mostly recognizes who Nicolas was and bowed their heads in respect. Times like this I want to shrink and be like air. Thankfully I got a small frame so I could easily fit under Nicolas arms and disappear ~ probably. Nobody dared to intercept the prince as we walked out directly to the entrance and into the car.

"Where are we going Nick?" I asked him timidly under his arms hoping he could hear me.
"The Palace. I could no longer stand this anxiety I felt whenever you're out of my reach. I'm sorry." He replied his eyebrows burrowed.
"I'm sorry too for making you worry. I just never thought Raizel has that feelings for me. Ever since, he's just a buddy to us. I never realized that he could jump on me like that." I said covering my face.
"That's enough. Don't speak other man's name when we're together especially at time like this. It's making me loose control. I don't want my pheromones to affect you negatively. I've done it before. I never want to see you like that again." he said hugging me as he tried to sooth me with his scent.
"Okay."
"By the way? Why the Palace?"
"My moms want to officially recognize you as part of the Royal Family as my fiancé. This way I'm not the only one who could protect you but also the entire Royal Family. This ball is just the beginning of it."
"But~"
"I know I'm exaggerating about your safety but please bear with me. I don't want to loose you for the third time Elphias. You're too precious for me to loose. I could exchange this entire world for you. Remember that."
Wow! That's extreme! I wonder how I could reciprocate him. I got nothing to offer him.
"But~"
"But what?"
"What will I wear?" I said smiling up at him with my intentionally awkward puppy eyes that I could muster to lighten up his mood.
"No problem with that. Just watch." He said smiling.
As soon as we arrived at the Palace, I couldn't help myself to think out loud which makes me a little embarrassed, "Awesome!"
"Pffft."
"What?" I asked as I caught him snickering behind me.
"Nothing. You're just too cute." He said clasping his arms around me.
I felt like my neck would snap off its hinges as I looked up and around the lobby of this place. The hotel that we came from was nothing to this magnificence.
