>Nicolas' pov<
"Yes, I'm sure it'll be alright." I assured one of the nobles about some business that I was handling in part of. I'm a bit restless without Elphias by my side but I need to accommodate these people first to establish connection for my company.
I tried to look for Elphias and found him laughing with his friends at the corner of the room. I smiled to myself forgetting that I'm still in the middle of conversation.
He really does look beautiful whenever he smiled no matter how he denied it. When I first saw him emerge from his suite earlier this afternoon, I was speechless. I was every bit stunned when I looked at his face. He's the every bit sense of what perfection is all about. That's it. I'm going to him.
"Would you please excuse me, I need to confer something to my bride." I said to them earning some blushes from the ladies.
As soon as I turned my heel expecting to see Elphias, I saw no one at the corner where I last saw him. I tried to look around the room, the terrace and the buffet table but he's nowhere in sight. There I saw his two close friends on a table eating.
"Hey, sorry. Did you see Elphias by any chance?" I asked them as soon as I got close to them.
"Umn, he's right over... there?" Gregory said turning to the direction where I also last saw him. "Where is he?" Gregory said almost in worry.
"Before we left he was with some noble... Eric, I think. He said he wants to talk to Elphias in private and he gave us a look. So we slipped away." Terran explained.
"What?" I was in shocked. Eric was a notorious omega hater. Kuro found some dirt on him a while ago after the kidnapping incident. He's one of the financiers of that auction. We couldn't hold him down without proper investigation but all the whispers about his violent treatments to omegas were as clear as anyone would see the sun. "We got to find Elphias! Hurry!"
"Kuro round the security. Look for Elphias. He's with Eric." I said to Kuro who was at my side the whole time.
"What? What's going on?" Gregory said standing up from his seat.
"Elphias' with a domineering alpha who literally beats omegas to their wits. We got to find him fast." I said to them gritting my teeth,
I ran through the crowd to ask my parents for help to make some excuses for our absence. I then went out to search together with a whole troop of guards and palace personnel at my disposals to look for them.
I was running right through a corner when I heard shouting from a room.
"You goddamn omega bitch. You got nothing to offer on this country. Worthless scumbags. Slut! Die! Die! DIE!"
I kicked hard the locked door. I was so concerned with Elphias that made me scan the entire room for him. I saw him on the ground his face full of cuts and was passed out on the floor clutching his stomach. His once beautiful shirt all torn. His shirt in the chest area was torn open. The bastard might have tried to rape him.
"Eric you shit! What have you DONE!" My whole vision went red in agony and rage. I couldn't see reason. I couldn't see anyone but this bastard in front of me. I'm going to kill him. KILL! KILL! KILL!
My alphan instincts took over me. My protectiveness over my omega got over me. I don't want to see another alpha hovering over my omega. I'll kill whoever it is. I must kill him. Every bit of him should be shattered to pieces.
"Nicolas! NICOLAS STOP!" a weak shout pierced through my senses.
I saw Elphias sitting. Propping him up was Kuro. He's still clutching his stomach.
