This chapter is a bit boring because it's partially a filler, but the ending is sweet.
"Dave, you and Reid go to the medical center. Morgan, y/l/n, Prentiss go to the newest crime scene. JJ and I will interview friends and family at the station." Hotch commands as the jet lands.
The entirety of the plane ride was exhausting trying to figure out how you go about the Spencer situation. Love was never something you've been comfortable with after your last boyfriend, also with the self-confidence issues. Even though Spencer is completely different from anyone you've ever met, there's still a chance he'd leave; there's always that chance.
Riding in the back of the SUV, Emily and Derek decided to talk about going to another bar when we get back home, of course. You stare out the window taking in what is Wisconsin, fidgeting with your bracelet out of pure fear and anxiety.
"Would you want to go?" Emily asks not managing to get your attention. "Y/n?"
"Hmm?" You turn forward looking at her, still playing with the bracelet.
"I asked if you wanted to come get drinks with us when we get back?" Emily repeats her earlier question.
"I'm not really feeling up to drinks right now... or ever." You turn back to the window.
"What's up with her?" Emily whispers to Derek almost as if you weren't sitting in the car with them.
"She thinks Reid's in love with her." Derek quietly responds back.
"Well isn't he?" Emily continues whispering.
"Wow it's almost like y/n isn't in the car with us, isn't that crazy?" You mock in Derek's voice rolling your eyes.
"Okay, message received." Derek huffs back. "But really Princess, he's not in love with you."
"Yeah, that we know of." Emily scoffs, a light laugh coming from her as Derek hits her arm.
"Shh! What's your deal? Don't scare the girl—" Derek comments.
"Don't call me a girl. I could do things that you'd never expect me to, chocolate thunder." You scoff back, folding your arms.
"Is that a threat? No offense y/n, but you're not very threatening in the slightest. I highly doubt you could even throw a punch." Derek huffs back laughing.
"Oh, sorry. I meant sexually. I have a lot of kinks." You grin watching Emily burst into laughter, Derek shifting in his seat.
"Okay, maybe we should hook up." Emily lets out containing her laughter.
"Oh you got it sexy. Name the day and place!" You reply happily as the car is put into park. You lightly slap Emily's ass as she walks past you, turning around viewing you laughing. She grins back, following Derek into the house.
"Emma was married and had an alarm. That seems like two giant escalations." Emily comments, looking around the house, you walk into the living room glancing outside the window for a moment, time almost freezing.
"So how'd this guy get around the system? Y/n? Are you okay?" Derek asks, you turn to him refocusing your attention on the surroundings.
"Yeah sorry... Would Emma have disarmed the system and let him in especially that late at night?" You respond quietly stepping towards Derek, Emily meeting the both of you.
"Well, if she didn't let him in, he'd only have a few seconds to cut the feed." Morgan replies, glancing over at Emily.
"Unless he knew the code" Emily adds.
