This is the one chapter I'm going to ask you to listen to the song; it's supposed to go with it, but it's up to you!
"Mommy mommy! Wake up!" A little girl laying on top of you, shaking you lightly forces you to open your eyes. Turning to her, a large smile placed on her face. She has Spencer's hazel eyes, but your smile. "Mommy cmon! Daddy said we need to get ready!" She begins to pull you off the bed, you laugh in response.
"Okay honey, give me a second. Go see dad downstairs okay?" You smile guiding her to the door, watching her skip down the steps, her medium brown hair bouncing up and down. "Where am i?" You mutter to yourself walking around the room, pulling a picture frame off of the dresser in the bedroom. Furrowing your brows, you see you and Spencer, with the little girl just in your room, can't be older than 7, and a little boy appearing to be 4, maybe 5, in the photo.
You place the picture frame back on the dresser, tilting it the exact way it was before, stepping out of the room and walking down the steps. You take caution turning the corner, walking into the kitchen just down the hall, noticing Spencer and the two kids from the photo gathered around the table. He stand up walking towards you, placing a soft kiss on your lips before smiling.
"Sorry, I didn't know Luna would wake you up. I was going to let you sleep in a few more minutes." Spencer takes your hand, guiding you to the table pulling a chair out for you to sit down. Glancing at the children in front of you, Luna smiles causing you to smile back, still very confused. You flick you eyes down to a plate set in front of you, full of eggs and toast.
"Hey hey, Luna don't take Thomas' orange juice. You have your own," Spencer laughs moving the orange juice back towards the little boy.
"Thomas?" You mutter to yourself.
Thomas as in, Thomas Merton? Are these our kids? Where am I? Am I dead?
"What's that angel?" Spencer looks at you raising an eyebrow, you shake your head smiling in response.
"Nothing, I'm just trying to wake up." You reply smiling looking back at the kids, taking in the moment. "Thomas?" You ask watching the boy turn to you.
"Yes mommy?" He asks his voice so tiny and innocent, taking a bite of his toast.
"Are you excited for today?" You ask smiling watching him nod happily, filled with all of the excitement in the world. You remain content eating breakfast with your family, happiness filling the room.
"Alright kiddos," Spencer excitingly shouts standing up, clapping his hands once. "Who's ready to go to the carnival?" He asks moving in between the kids, tickling them both laughter and giggles filling the room. "AHHH I GOT YOU! Cmon up up up little ones, let's go brush our teeth!" Spencer gently commands, the kids running upstairs to the bathroom. You smile standing up, bringing all the plates to the sink placing them inside when Spencer's arms wrap around your stomach, placing soft kisses against your neck.
"Guess what?" Spencer asks keeping his arms wrapped around your waist as you turn around, wrapping your arms around his neck.
"What?" You ask a smile forming on your face, he searches your eyes.
"I'm the luckiest man in the world. I get to work with my best friends, I have two amazing and wonderful kids who are just as perfect as their mother, and I've married my best friend, getting to be with her for the rest of my life." He grins placing a kiss on your forehead.
"Wow, you married JJ? Congratulations Spence!" You mock laughing quietly, he shakes his head before pulling you into him, crashing his lips into yours. You sink into him for a minute when giggling approaches, Spencer pulling away with a smile.
