"Shit!" I cursed at myself, while jumping out of bed.

I quickly turned my alarm off and threw on a pair of black leggings and my black retro beatles shirt and slipped my sneakers on.

I left my hair in the messy bun.

After I grabbed my bag I ran straight down stairs.

Axel was already downstairs waiting for me.

"Finally.." he said finishing his cereal. And we head outside into the warm sun.

When we were at the bus stop which was just down the street, I seen Karan. I didn't know he went to the same school.

He looked at me with said eyes but made a small smile.

I waved at him but he just looked away.

"What's that about?" Axel must have noticed.

"Nothing." i said acting like it didn't mean anything.

We got off the bus in front of the school. Me and Axel walked through the crowded sidewalk and through the glass doors of the school.

When we entered the main office, a lady sat there typing on the computer. She looked about 40 with long dark brown hair and some grey strands. A name plate stood on the front of her desk reading: Mrs. Hanley

She looked up at us and stopped typing.

"May I help you." she said kindly, her voice quiet.

"Yes, we are here for our schedules." Axel said.

"Names?" Mrs. Hanley asked.

"Axel P. Vazquez and Carmen Vazquez."

Mrs. Hanley began typing on her computer and a few seconds later we heard the copier printing behind her. She got up and gave us our schedules.

"I'm giving you both school maps too. Now have a good day sweeties." she said and continued on her computer.

"Thank you" we both said and walked out into the hallway.

"Well see you later," Axel said giving me a side hug.

"Bye," I waved to Axel and he headed down the hallway.

I looked at my schedule and school map.

First period. Algebra 2. Room 200.

Great. I thought to myself.

I started walking the opposite direction of Axel and through the hallway. It was hard to pass through with all the students in the way taking there slow time.

I finally reached the room and seen the young teacher writing Welcome Back on the board. He looked no older than 28. He had tidy hair and a smooth face and Light blue eyes that matched his light blue button down shirt and black tie.

He looked over at me and said Good morning and introduced himself as Mr. Scott.

"Good morning." I said back and walked to the seat all the way to the back of the room. Away from the other students.

I sat there looking at the desk and fiddled with my pen.

More Students started to come in the room. Some looked at me and some didn't notice me.

Just at the best of times Karan entered the class.

My eyes widened and I put my bag one my desk hoping to hide behind it.

"Excuse me miss. Vazquez would you please get your bag off the desk!" The teacher said to me. I heard some of the other students laughed.

My face felt really warm all of a sudden in the air conditioned room.
