Me and Caroline walked through the halls to Culinary.
"What kind of books do you like?" I asked her.
"Um, i'm more into romance novels and fantasy" she said
"Cool. I love books. reading is one of the good escapes."
We entered our class.
Today we were starting with dinner, me and Caroline looked through a cookbook and tried to find an easy but not too easy recipe.
"Hey you wanna hang out tomorrow? You know we could even practice cooking because I burn water." I said to Caroline as she laughed.
"Sure, that would be really cool" She said pointing to a type of chowder or soup.
I shook my head. "Awesome, and maybe we can even go to the mall before come here. If you're up to it?"
"Ofcourse." she laughed.
Then her smile sort of faded.
"Hey what's wrong?" I put my hand on her shoulder.
"Nothing, it's just that... You're the only person who has actually been nice to me. I never really had a friend because people think I'm a freak." she said looking at the book still.
"Why? You're extremely cool and I'm lucky I could be your friend." I lightly elbow her and it makes me happy to see her smile reappear.
Later in gym after me and Caroline came out of the locker room and started jogging laps in the gym I noticed two girls standing at the sides on their phones one of them was in two other classes of mine. They looked extremely snobby and made me hate them for no reason.
Caroline followed my eyes and frowned at them.
"Those girls or what I like to call them 'the clones' are the mean girls." She looked away as the tall one with the dark brown braided weave looked up at her.
"Her name is Ashley. She is mean to anyone for no reason, and she doesn't care about anyone but herself. I'm completely afraid of her."
We stopped running and walked for the last lap.
"The other girl with blonde hair is Stacy. The wannabe Ashley. She follows Ashley around like a lost puppy." Caroline said as she fixed her bangs back with a headband.
"That's pathetic. Theres no point in wasting our time with the 'barbie dolls'." I laughed and Caroline let out a chuckle.
I looked back at those two girls and Ashley glared at me through her fake eyelashes, I let out a smile at her and she whipped her weave around and started talking to Stacy.
Today in Gym we had to practice serving a Volleyball, when the teacher announced this all the boys grounded because they thought of it as a 'girly sport'. There were six nets set around the gym and four people at each net.
I paired up with Caroline and we practiced with two other students serving and passing.
"Ow!!" I shouted falling to the floor and ruined my serve. I feel a great pain in the back of my head.
Caroline and one of the girls playing against us (i think her name was Liz) came to my side.
Obviously the teacher didn't notice he was writing something on his clipboard and talking to the boys.
I hear a few giggles and loud laughs coming from those mean girls.
"Oops my bad." Ashley said laughing even harder and Stacy fixing her bright lipstick.
