Jeff's POV
She was the most stunning girl I had ever seen. Flowing ginger hair, large blue eyes, a slim build, she was beautiful. I was in shock over the fact that she had plowed right into me.
"Oh my gosh, I'm so-" she started to say, but stopped.
We stared into each others eyes for a second. I snap back to reality and immediately step forward to help her up.
"I apoligize," I say as I laugh nervously, "Are you alright?"
She laughs as well, assuring me that she was just fine.
"It's you we have to be worried about. Are you okay?" she questioned.
"Of course, though I have taken lighter hits in games before." We laughed.
I look from her feet to her eyes. "I'm Jeff by the way. Jeff Skinner."
A smile crossed her face, "I know. I'm Lindsay."
"I know."
Her eyes got really wide in shock, maybe a little fearful. "How do you know what my name is?"
"It's on your name tag."
She looks down at her tag and we laugh again.
Some how, my heart takes over, and all it wants is her. I don't want to lose her. I don't want to leave her. But I had to go, the team and I had a flight to Ottawa we had to catch. "You know, I have to get to the bus, but I'd really like to see you again." I reach and take the pen out from behind her ear, gently take her hand in mine, and write my phone number on her palm. "Call me, okay?"
"O-o-okay." She stumbles over her words, a cute, dorky smile crossing her face.
"It was really great to meet you. Hopefully I'll see you again soon?"
She couldn't lose that dorky smile, and I loved it. "Y-Yeah, I hope so as well."
"Well, I'll talk to you later. Bye Lindsay." I said as I began to walk away.
"Bye Jeff. Oh, by the way, beautiful goal tonight." She called to me.
"Thanks!" I call back.
"Skins! Let's go!" Eric Staal calls to me.
"Okay, I really have to go now. Please call me, okay?" I ask her.
"Yeah, for sure." She says, "Bye."
I wave to her and run to the bus. I can't wait to see her again, even talk to her.
She's the perfect girl.
