Lindsay's POV

"Andrew, I really want to call him. I have to call him." I complained to my best friend.

"So do it! What are you waiting for?"

"The right time. Like, is it too soon?"

"Not at all. Give him a call." he convinced me.

I had my phone in my hand all day. That wasn't unusual, but I had wanted to call him, to hear his voice all day. I scrolled down the touch screen to his name. I touched his name, and the call began. I placed the phone to my ear.

It rang once.

Twice.

Three times.

Four times.

After the fifth time, I hung up. He must be at practice.

"There was no answer." I looked at Andrew.

Andrew searched his mind for a comforting answer. "Well, at least he knows you called now. He'll call you back when he's not busy."

"Yeah, I guess so." I sighed.

"Anyways," he placed his hand on top of mine, "We have class to get to."

Andrew and I didn't have a romantic relationship, we were just best friends. We're a lot alike, except in physical looks. He's Asian, and short, and I am tall and ginger. He's the one person in my life that I know I can go to for absolutely anything.

"Yeah, you're right. I'll see you later, okay?" I said to him.

We said our good-bye's and went our opposite ways.

-------------------------------

Astronomy class was intreresting as usual. I love Astronomy. Space scares me, but scares me in a way that I'm intrigued to learn more. As my professor was going through the powerpoint, my phone rang.

                  Jeff Skinner

Answer                                 Decline

I put my pencil down, ran down the stairs of the theatre and out the door. I took a deep breath and pressed the "Answer" button.

"Hello?" I answered.

"Lindsay?" Jeff said to me.

"Hi Jeff." I smiled as I paced the hall.

"How are you?" he asked.

"I'm really good, so much better now."

"That's great. Are you busy right now?"

I laughed, "Yeah, I'm kind of in class right now."

"Oh my gosh, okay, umm...call me after your class, okay?"

"Yeah, of course." I answered.

"Okay, bye."

"Bye Jeff." I replied.

I hung up the phone and sat down on the floor in the hall. I couldn't believe I had heard his voice again. It made me feel so much better inside. I immediately texted Andrew.

"Jeff just called. I'm dying!"

I stood up, and walked back into class. I felt my phone vibrate as I made it back to my seat. I pulled my phone out of my sweater pocket. It was Andrew.

"OH MY GOSH yes! Tell me ALL about if after class!"

I replied that I was going to call Jeff after class, so I'd text him about it after we were done talking. I couldn't handle the waiting. I watched the clock, waiting for the minute 2:30 pm rolled around. I couldn't wait to call him again.
