Sugar in my Wounds.

I'll tape petals on the pages
To cover up the blood stains,
Paper cuts from poetry.
And I'll colour with colours,
Ease into your iris like sunsets,
Cotton candy daydreams.
Pastels and lilacs
Painted over eyes black,
Blindfolded with tie dye reverie.
Pasting polaroids of past pain,
Encasing lace around the frame,
Like bandaids over agony.
And I'll filter all of these aches
Veiling them with rose-pink cellophane.
Scrapbooking until the anguish is pretty.
