Monster To Society
My legs fall out from under me.
I can't stand.
Yet I cannot stand to be here,
Unable to move,
Unable to stand for what I believe,
Fight for what I need.
You have no legs to stand on
Yet you're taller than me.
Amputated of my rights,
Too small to be seen.
You're placed at the top,
A penthouse view,
Yet you're too blind to see.
Falling on your deaf ears
Are my pleading screams,
Begging you to just let me be me.
But you're self absorbed,
You would rather see me bleed.
And your followers
With their pitchforks and swords,
Trample over me.
