2. Chapter 25 Prank

I found Fred and George, inside the Griffindor common room. 'all set, where's Lee?' I asked them as I sat down on Georges lap. 'Did someone say my name!' Le half yelled as he dramatically walked into the room.  I rolled my eyes and Fred chuckled. 'Not like your any better, Lupin.' He said while smirking. 'Anyway, everything is set up now all we have to do is wait until lunch .' i grinned. 'So Minnie seriously just tells you pranks to do.' I knew that they know about the Marauders map but not who they really are. 'kind of, I mean apparently my parents and their friends were like us.' I tried to hide the huge grin that was threatening to show. 'Oh okay and this is after your problem... I mean sickness.' George stuttered.  I glared at I'm when Lee wasn't looking. 'Looks like everyone is heading down to lunch, so, let's go.' Lee said almost jumping up and down. 'calm down Lee. you'll give us away.' I scowl. We walked down to the great hall talking about Lockhart and his 'terrifying' pixies. We laughed a lot.  When we walked into the great hall I saw Harry, Hermione and Ron looking over at us. I winked at the girl and took my seat in between her and George.  When I winked at her she looked away quickly and I smirked. We ate peacefully until exactly 1:00 when a loud bang was heard from the Slytherin table and a big puff of smoke appeared. When the smoke disappeared the Slytherins hair was bright Red and Gold. Everyone except for the Slytherins burst out laughing. I looked over at Minnie and saw her shaking her head but I didn't feel any anger. I smiled up at her and Dumbledore winked at me. I looked over to Fred, George and Lee to see them purely delighted that it worked. The laughter finally died down when Dumbledore stood up.  'Well after that delightful performance if ms Lupin-Black could please give the Slytherins their natural hair colour back. that would be lovely.' He asked with the usual twinkle in his eyes. I felt all eyes on me and I shrugged, waved my wand and stood up. 'just trying to lighten the mood around here.' i half yelled to him and he smiled back.  When everyone left the hall I stayed behind to talk to Minnie. 'bonjour Minou comment vas-tu aujourd'hui tu es belle.' I say in french. 'why thank you Emily, I am good, where did you learn french.' she asked. I was a little taken aback by how she knew what I was saying but I rebounded quickly. 'I taught myself when I was 7.' she sweetly looked at me. 'your father knew french as well you are so much like him. both really.' she said I walked away after a small conversation and saw Lockhart come towards me 'Miss Lupin, good to see you I love the prank you pulled you know I was a prankster in my year, so you need any tips and I'm here.' I just grinned at how ridiculous he was. I looked around making sure the twins weren't here. 'okay reality check Lockhart I might not live or remember my parents but I am the Marauders child so you hurt my family and you'll get it.' I say and walk away. the next day I was in the study hall with most other students when I saw harry walk out. I decided to check if he was alright. I walked out and saw him talking to hagrid. ' 'hello Emily,' Hagrid said, harry whipped around and smiled at me. 'hi hagrid, what happened.' i ask when I saw the dead roster in his hands. 'Second one killed this term,' he explained. 'It's either foxes or a Blood-Suckin' Bugbear, an' I need the headmaster's permission ter put a charm around the hen coop.' he left shortly after that and I asked, harry to accompany me on a walk. 'Hey Em, are you the one that was making them weird noises.' he asked me. I looked at him confused. I didn't make any weird noises. 'Harry I think you're hearing things again because I didn't hear anything.' i told him concerned. Harry didn't say anything and just kept walking. I was about to ask something when the hair on the back of my neck stood up. I was on high alert. 'do you hear that,' Harry asked. then started running. I ran after him and bumped into him sending me tumbling down. I looked up at harry to see the horror on his face. I stood up and followed his gaze. right in front of us was a petrified ghost and student but it wasn't just any ghost. it was nearly headless nick and the student, Justin filch-fletching. I ran over to him and checked his pulse. he was alive. I sighed in relief and looked to harry. 'he's alive.' but Harry wasn't paying attention to me he was at the window sill. 'it's the spiders again, they're acting strange.' he said. I heard footsteps coming towards us and I quickly stood up and walked to harry. 'caught in the act, I'll have you out this time.' filch said as he came into view. 'no please its-you don't understand.' harry stuttered but it was no use. he had already left. I walked closer to harry and hugged him. 'it will be okay, bro.' Minnie walked in and put a hand to her chest. 'professor it wasn't us.' Harry said as I let him go. 'this is out of my hands, Potter.' she said with a sad look on her face. she leads us down corridors and up staircases until she stopped at a stone gargoyle. 'sherbet lemon.' she said and the stone gargoyle moved. I kept thinking about Harry. But if you got expelled or hurt I could hear movement inside the door we were about to go through it opened itself and we found ourselves in the middle of the office we walked in but I couldn't I feel anyone's presence I heard a squawk and right there a bird post with a beautiful red and yellow Phoenix it's squawked again then blew up in flames 'Harry Emily' I heard a voice and I looked up and Dumbledore standing on the top step. 'Professor Dumbledore that-there was nothing I could do y-you're bird just caught fire.' Harry stuttered I tried not to laugh and keep a straight face 'about time too.  Pity you had to see him on a burning day' Dumbledore said but Harry looked confused so I continued 'it is a Phoenix Harry they burn when it is time for them to die then a reborn from the ashes' when I looked back down at the ashes are small baby Phoenix came up. 'What's its name' I asked him but before he could answer the door burst open and Hagrid running 'it wasn't them I know it wasn't how to speak in front of the ministry-' but before he could continue he got cut off by Dumbledore 'I don't believe they would hurt anyone Hagrid well, of course, you don't- oh well I'll just wait outside then.'  hagrid's face went red And Dumbledore nodded. When he left the room I turned to Dumbledore and asked 'you don't think it was us' 'no, I don't think it was either of you but I must ask if you have anything you have to tell me.' I took a glance at Harry who shook his head I wasn't about to rat out my brother we left the room. soon after stairs following us where ever we go the green-eyed boy has used all the stairs and so was I but for a completely different reason who would've thought the daughter of a mass-murderer and the boy who lives would become friends or more like siblings the news about Justin was all people talked about for the next few weeks it was Christmas eve and the others were acting weird I decided to confront them so that night in the common room when they entered I walked up to them hey guys what are you doing I asked nothing they all said in unison. and here I thought me and Harry were siblings. 'Any way you know I will find out soon enough.' I told them with a smirk. they sigh and I could tell I had them 'fine go get the cloak and we will show you' Hermione said I run-up to the dorm. a couple of days ago I had to borrow the cloak for a big prank I did but I didn't tell ron so when I came back down. the first thing I saw his confused face and I burst out laughing. the confused faces of the others didn't help. W what so funny and Hermione are I finally control my laughter and shook my head at her we put the clothes on and they lead the way to.... the girls bathroom. 'Why when why are we in the girl's lavatory' I asked them I was so confused. 'we are going to try and catch Malfoy with a potion. polojuice potion or something but mine is a genius.' Ron said I felt a pit in my stomach when I saw mione blush. You guys are idiots but count me in. harry looked a little taken aback but soon he recovered and looked over to mione. she nodded 'okay we need someone to do a diversion anyway' she smiled at me and I smirked back. 'My specialty' we went back to the common room and Ron Harry and I went to our dorm and fell asleep.
