Chapter 13

Antonio and Georgia were back at the girl's own town, settling in her cottage. It has been a while ever since he broke up with and left Lelouch. He looked at Georgia in the kitchen through the bedroom door as he lay in the bed. Antonio had said that he loved Georgia as a lover.

But he's not even sure if that's true.

Suddenly, he didn't see Georgia in the kitchen anymore but instead, in front of him. Her face lacked the usual brightness he was used to. "What's up?" He asked, curious. Georgia sighed and sat on the edge of the bed. Antonio noticed how she started fumbling with her fingers and looking straight at the end. Most likely a nervous habit of hers.

"I...I think it's best that we don't become a couple. I can see now...you must've suffered from some amnesia and that you truly loved Lelouch. All of this was just from my noticing the interaction between the two of you and his sadness. I bet you still love him now. Am I wrong?" Antonio stared at her for a while with a blank, empty expression.

His eyes then casted to the ground as well. "I don't know." He simple answered. Georgia looked at him at last, "Maybe we can go back and get him out. Then you two can try to fix things." Antonio shook his head vigorously as he stood up. "Some things are not always meant to be fixed. Plus, I think it's best if we spend some time apart anyway. You shouldn't go get him too. I remembered from my time being amnesiac in a way, that Lelouch doesn't really like you. Instead, he's quite jealous. Right till the end of our relationship....huh. He many not have noticed but I have seen his so called secret expressions. And it wasn't friendly..." Georgia smiled slightly.

"I wouldn't blame him or anything...so, what are you going to do now?" She then asked in a whisper.

Antonio stretched a bit before slowly walking out of the room and eventually the house. But he then stopped at the door of the house to just say, "Thank you Georgia. And I do love you, but as a sister. See you next time if life lets us." With that, he is gone. The girl looked at the door long after he left.

She's glad to have his love, even if it's only platonic. But at the same time. A small part of her wished that they were a couple. However, she isn't one to break up and cause friction between a relationship. Georgia can clearly see that Antonio and Lelouch are meant for each other. Even if they're not currently together as of now.

"I just hope that everything works out at the end. I can actually see them as a cute couple. Plus, Lelouch is pregnant with Antonio's child...isn't he...?" She continued to sit on the bed and lost in her own thoughts for a while longer until she got up to finish making cookies. Yes, cookies will help distract her from the growing loneliness and sadness she's feeling.

Cookies brings out the light in her.

The sweetness.

The joy.

It's all she has.
