Chapter 1

Hope's p.o.v

After Landon walked away from me on the deck the night Raf left, we haven't talked. It's been a week and I'm slowly losing control over my witch and wolf powers. A knock on my door brings me out of my thoughts. I sigh, sitting up on my bed waving my hand to open the door.
Josie stands there looking a little shy. "Hi." "Hi, can I come in?" I scoot over patting the empty the spot next to me. She closes the door as she comes in. "How are you?" She asks sitting on the bed. "I haven't seen or really talked to you after you being in my head." I smile at her sadly, "I'm doing alright. I don't know why I'm even sad about him walking away. He's done it so many times that I should be used to it by now." Josie puts her hand on my shoulder, "You shouldn't be used to it, if he really loved you then he wouldn't keep walking away from you."
She has a point. My relationship with Landon is so toxic and because I love him I never saw it. "Why Josie, if I didn't know any better I would say you still had a crush on me." I say joking around. She slighty blushes. "I had a crush on you for like 4 or 5 years when we were younger. Also I heard what you said about having a crush on me when we were 14." My eyes widen. I didn't think she heard that. "I thought you didn't hear that." "I did but with so much going on we didn't have the chance to talk about it."
We sit in silence just enjoying each other's company. "Jo, have you ever thought about what would've happened if we told each other that we liked each other?" I ask laying down. She lays next to me, my head some how ending up on her shoulder. "I used to and started to again when we got closer again. I stopped once Jade and Landon came back into the picture."

Me and Josie have been hanging out a lot more this week. I'm walking out of my last class to my room when I notice a poster for 'Salvatore: The musical'. I grab it and go searching for Dr. Saltzman but instead I bump into Landon, the last person I wanted to see. "Do you know what this is about?" I ask him. He looks more nervous than usual he's up to something.
"Actually I was looking for you to talk about this. It's about the history of the school." I shove the poster into his chest and walk away. He grabs my arm before I can and then immediately moves his arm away. "I actually wanted your input on this stuff since you knew some of them and your family is a huge part of the story too." I get pissed off. "Keep my family out of it, we aren't characters in your play. And if you wanna know so much about these people why don't you ask Dr. Saltzman since he was friends with these people." I tell him before I walk away.
As soon as I get to my room, I see Josie standing by my door with the poster for the musical. "Hey Jo." I say as I walk up to her. She smiles at me, "Hey Hope, have you seen this yet?" I nod and just enter my room. She follows behind me closing the door as she walks in. "Are you going to try out?" I laugh as I sit down at my art station. "I don't sing in public." Josie makes herself comfortable on my bed while I start painting. "I didn't either until last year at the talent show." I'm debating on telling her about my ecounter with Landon.

"Landon wants to put my family in the musical even though I said no." I tell her trying to paint. "What the hell! He can't do that, he should respect your wishes Hope." Before I can say anything a knock interrupts our conversation.
"When I open this door, I better not see you two making out cause grosssss!" Lizzie shouts. I wave my hand and door opens. Lizzie has her hand over her eyes, "Lizzie you can move your hand, nothing is happening." Josie says to her twin. I just laugh at the two of them. "So I'm playing Caroline ovbs and Jo will be perfect for Elena. Sooo Hope that leaves you as 3 characters you can be. Stefan, Damon or Bonnie." "Lizzie you literaly just said you didn't want to see us two kissing but now you want Hope to play Damon or Stefan." Jo says trying to get her twin to leave me out of the musical. "Orrrr maybe I'm just trying to lowkey get you two to get over the hobbit and our vampire babysitter who sooooo has the hots for you." I turn around as soon as I hear that. "Who? Jade?" Lizzie smirks as she realizes that me and Jo haven't talked about Jo and Jade. "Lizzie!" She scowls at her sister. "Well it seems like you two have a lot to talk about." She says heading towards the door. As she almost out the door, she looks back at me. "Seriously Mikaelson think about being in the musical and moving on from the hobbit." She closes the door but pops her head back in. "He never deserved you anyway." Yeah, I'm starting to realize that. Now it leaves me and Josie to talk about Jade.
