Inspired by a picture I saw of Roman dancing with himself.

Roman sat on his bathroom counter, sniffling and wiping stressed tears away. It had been a hard few days and the stress was getting unbearable. He just wanted to forget all of his responsibilities. What better way than carrying out his favorite hobby with the one person who knew him best?

Roman finished wiping his tears away and washed his face before grabbing his makeup kit and setting to work. He applied white and gold eyeshadow along with winged eyeliner and ruby red lipstick. He checked his work in the mirror and smiled, satisfied with the results. The eye makeup brought out his eyes in the most lovely way and the lipstick made his lips look very kissable. He blew his reflection a kiss and left to go back to his room.

Once he'd made it to his room, he danced his way over to his closet, swaying elegantly. He selected a gorgeous gown of deep red and gold. It was similar to the garment he'd worn to the Sides In Skirts photoshoot, but this one had lacey red sleeves that went all the way down his arms and looped around his middle fingers beautifully. He slipped the gown on and laced up the back of it carefully. Once it was on, he twirled in front of his full-length mirror, smiling at the way his dress swished around his legs.

It was missing something though. He ventured back and selected a white sash, tying it around his waist. Checking his reflection, he felt pride bubble up in his chest. He looked almost perfect. He just needed to put his shoes on and fix his hair and he was ready. He collected his selected pair of footwear for the evening: a pair of white heels that wound halfway up his calves. He combed his hair back, and then he was ready. He made his way to the imagination for his date.

Upon arriving in the ballroom he had summoned moments ago, he scanned the room, searching. There were no unnecessary guests, as his entire focus was on one person. One person that was standing directly across the room. Roman smiled widely and made his way over, his heels clacking on the floor and announcing his presence. The person across the room looked up at him and did a double-take, eyes drinking Roman in. Roman felt himself do the same, indulgently gazing at the man

Roman curtseyed. The man bowed and took Roman's hand, kissing it. Roman flushed prettily.

"Good evening, my dear," the man greeted Roman.

"Good evening, my love," Roman replied to the clone of himself he had sommoned. The clone smiled and gazed at Roman like a man in love. And he was. Roman knew that for sure, because he felt the same butterflies in his stomach when he looked at his companion. His date held out his arm to Roman.

"May I have the honor of accompanying you to a dance?"

Roman took the arm, leaning into the warmth of the contact. "Always."

Roman allowed his clone to rest a hand on his waist as music softly drifted through the air. He took his partner's lead and soon they were gracefully gliding across the ballroom.

As Roman's date dipped him, he gazed up into his eyes, the Prince's own eyes lidded slightly. It was a moment's decision. They both leaned in at the same time and grazed their lips together softly. It was fleeting, but Roman already knew he could kiss this man a thousand times and it would never grow boring.

Then they were back to floating in each other's arms, leaning into each other's comforting embrace. Neither knew how long they swayed together, but eventually they tired and settled to slightly rocking from side to side. Roman sighed in content. He knew he could never begin to have these kind of perfect moments with anyone else. No one else knew him like he did. No one else could dance like him. Could kiss like him.

Roman fondly looked into his lover's eyes, smiling a smile that was gladly returned with the same vibrancy.

     "You're so beautiful."

     "Not as beautiful as you."

Mirth crinkled both of their eyes. They leaned in for another kiss, this one lasting longer. Roman leaned into his lover's chest, feeling the heartbeat thrumming in time with his own. Slow and content.

     "Stay with me."

     "Of course."

      They kissed softly.
