Pre-POF

     Thomas was in the living room with Roman and Patton, working on his newest issue. Thomas had begun feeling...strange things for his anxious side.

     "Okay, Princey, you're my romantic side, so care to share with the group your opinion on my feelings for Virgil?" Thomas asked, standing in his usual spot. Roman blinked.

     "Emo nightmare? Why would-" his awkward protest was cut off by another side appearing.

     "Deceit!" Thomas squawked, jumping away as said side popped into existence.

     "Let me stop you there," Deceit said, ignoring his host's outburst. "We all know you're lying. Thomas just said that he had romantic feelings for our dear emo. Try again," he snarked, flashing his fangs. Just then, Logan rose up in his spot, holding a travel mug full of coffee.

     "Yes, and as Thomas's romantic side, it's your job to keep track of his infatuation."

     "It's not infatuation, it's love!" Roman aggressively defended. Deceit waved his hand.

     "There. Now we have it."

     "Logan, strange to see you here, especially since I didn't summon you and we're talking about emotions," Thomas said.

     "Yes, I'm actually here to remind you of our astronomy project that we were going to work on-" Logan looked at his phone- "two minutes ago."

     "Oh, right! I'm sorry, Logan. I forgot," Thomas said.

     "It's fine, no big deal. Just some time missed with your cool teacher and his cool project." Logan sipped at his coffee.

     "Anyway, back to focusing on me?" Roman asked.

     "Go ahead," Thomas said.

     "All right, well, as much as it pains me, Deceit was right. Virgil is the dark knight of our dreams, Thomas," Roman sighed.

     "But how does that affect you as my sides?" Thomas asked.

     "Well, Thomas, you know I've always got your back and I love my dark strange son, so I'm rooting for you both," Patton said with a laugh and a smile, "but if either of you hurt each other I will physically fight both of you." He pulls a stern face and gives Thomas the Dad Look(TM). Thomas nods, pinching his lips absently.

     "I want to take him on a picnic date and watch Disney movies and cartoons with him. Then I'll propose to him and have the most beautiful wedding in all of history!" Roman boldly declared. Logan sighed and rubbed his temple.

     "That is entirely unrealistic. There are so many reasons that that wouldn't happen that I'm not even going to bother listing them," Logan said. Roman crossed his arms defensively.

     "Well, what do you think, Logan?" Thomas asked.

     "Well, although I don't feed into your emotions, I wouldn't mind copulation and continuing to live together." Thomas nodded.

     "And I totally wouldn't want to protect him at all cost," Janus said, looking at his gloved fingertips. "Even more than I would want to protect you." The lie was muttered, so no one heard it.
