The lights of the interrogation hall flickered with every step that boy took down the hall. The spikes of bright energy flashed his eyes in blindness in intervals of seconds. His heavy feet almost seemed to drag, but not his pace. He was deep in thought while also quite focused on what he needed to do. Everything was pressuring, but it wasn't the normal kind. For him, that would be just any other average mission. However, this one made him feel like he could lose something if he wasn't there soon. The emotion made him annoyed and worried at the same time and it was overall conflicting. The tense atmosphere never ceased just like the disturbance in his wavering heart even after he left that wretched place of hell. Dazai needed to hurry, time was essential and he already spent quite a lot of it dilly-dallying up till now. After all the information given from Eden, that proved he needed to just go. He had this gut sense of feeling that was never wrong and the fact it made him uncomfortable said enough about the situation.
Taking the elevator up from the lower floors, he came up to the main level and headed to the doors leading out into the city. However, his black oxfords stopped a bit abruptly against the carpet, making that rash sound. A short male stood against the walls, arms crossed, and one foot touching against the vertical surface. His head tilted towards the ground and his hat covered any sign of his face, but that rare ginger hair gave away who it was.
"Chuuya?" He called out in a confused voice. He figured that the other had the rest of the day off and probably the next few and would have gone home by now.
With the call of his name, the shorter male stood up straight, relieving the weight off the wall while lifting his hat so eye contact could be made with the taller one.
"I'm going with you"
"Why would you?"
"Mori said so. And for another reason." He said as he walked through and out the door.
Dazai just shrugged and followed, but the other reason Chuuya had made him curious.
RIght out in front of the building, there were already men and cars prepared for them which must have been the ginger's doing.
"You already got everything ready. Is this all necessary?" Dazai asks him while entering a black car through a door a subordinate opened for him.
"You're one to talk mackerel. You couldn't deal with it the first time."
"All we need is your freaky monster strength and then we win like always."
"It's not like I want to be here. Boss said so, that's why."
"What's the other reason?"
"I just wanted to see something- don't worry about it. I heard we're saving that girl you picked up."
"You haven't met her yet have you Chuuya?"
"I would have earlier if I had the chance. How is she? You better not have been too hard on her."
"Of course not Chuuyaa, I'm super nice and I treat her really really well."
"So she's suffering."
"No, she's not, she's perfectly fine. But she is different."
"Different?" Chuuya asks.
Dazai crosses his arms and looks out the window, thinking of (Y/N).
"Never met someone like her before. It's interesting."
"I didn't expect you to say that."
"Aww Chuuya are you jealous?
