The ropes that once bonded my hands and feet together were no longer there. The roughness of the rope was replaced with cold metal cutting through my wrists.

My feet were free of any sort of restraint, but only because I was going somewhere, and walking would have been difficult if I was still tied up.

A few of the port men that were with me before had ended up taking me to this Mori guy. They each were standing on all sides of me creating some kind of barrier that I couldn't escape from.

Do they not realize all I have to do is jump kick them in the face and they'd be down on the ground?

Whatever, there's no point in making things more troublesome than they already are, but I have to say I'm a little interested to know what's going to happen.

Suddenly one of the men that were behind me pulled on my handcuffs causing me to stop.

We make face to face with a large door with 2 security guards placed on either side.

"This is the port intruder scheduled to have a meeting right now with the boss."

"Ok, you may enter." says one of the security guards.

The doors both open automatically and before I know it I'm harshly pushed inside.

I turned around getting ready to yell at the port men, but the door was once again shut and no one was there.

"I kindly ask you to put your gift away. I wouldn't want this to end terribly for you before you even spoke a word. "

End things terribly? Gift? What's this nonsense?

I move my head towards the voice and see a slightly older man with violet eyes and slick black hair sitting at a desk. He had a similar get-up that consisted of a black suit and black trench coat to Dazai who was casually leaning on the wall with his eyes closed.

This must be Mori, the guy who wanted to see me.

"You look confused. I'm guessing you don't know what it is, however that isn't my concern. I've heard you've been knocking our men and stealing our goods. Care to explain why? " said the man.

"I got kicked out of my home and had nowhere to go until I found your port. I didn't have much of an option so I just did what I needed to survive. And about you're men, I got kind of bored so I just messed with them a little bit. They also kept getting in my way so I just knocked them out."

Ok so if we're done here can I go? I thought this would be interesting, but maybe I should have just ditched earlier.

"Now that I've answered your questions, answer mine. Who are you and what is this place? Also, what's this gift you mentioned?

Damn girl tryna be savage or something because IT'S NOT FUNNY. (Y/N) you finna bout to die.

"I really don't think you have the right to be the one demanding answers from me, but since I've already decided you will be dying after our conversation I don't see why not."

"Mori." Dazai slowly opens his eyes and then moves to my side.

"I think she could be useful. She did end up beating our men on multiple occasions. Plus she might have a strong gift we can use."

"I'm surprised Dazai. I didn't expect this from you, but if that's what you want to do then I'm fine with it. I'll allow if you train her."

"We're leaving then." Dazai swiftly leaves the room glancing at me in the process, signaling for me to follow.

The walk to wherever we were going for the most part was awkward until I got the guts to speak up.

"So...I uh...still haven't got any answers to my questions so..."

"You've got guts for trying to demand more after I saved your life." He looked at me and it seemed like he was waiting for something.

Thank him stupid.

"Oh um thank you a lot."

"The man you just met is named Mori Ogai, the boss of the port mafia."

Wait what? THE PORT MAFIA? Shit, what did I get myself into?

"Since you seem like you've heard of us I won't explain anymore. And about your other question about gifts, I'll let that answer itself."

"What do you mean by that?"

He doesn't answer me and stops in front of a door which he then opens.

"You'll be staying here until you're trusted. After that, you can move to a bigger place. I'll send someone to bring you clothes, so go clean yourself."

I enter the room and right before Dazai closes the door he says "I'll send the key over with your clothes. Be ready in 2 hours, I'll show you around."

With that, he leaves me to do what I have to do. Looking around the space was fairly decent for what I was getting.

There was a main room that included a small living room, and attached to it was an open kitchen. There was a single door that led to a bedroom and another inside that led to the bathroom.

I went into the bathroom and took in the sight of myself. My hair was all in tangles, my face and clothes were filthy and I just did not look great at all.

I shouldn't be embarrassed since this is how I've been living for a while, but still.

After staring at myself for a couple of minutes, there are a few knocks on the front door.

I walk out of my room and open the front door to a girl I've never seen before.

"Hi there!"

Well, she's cheerful.

"Yeah hi.." I reply

"So I've got your room key and a few pairs of clothes that should last you a couple of days. I would have brought you more, but like I wanted to see you for myself so I can give you a much-needed makeover."

Should I be offended?

"By the way, my name is Hoshino Riku, call me Riku though!"

"My name is (L/N) (Y/N)."

"Wow, that's a pretty name! Anyway, I'll be going now. I'll be back in a few days cause we're going shopping. I'll let you know when, BYE!"

"Wait-"

What the hell was that? Whatever, I'll just talk to her when she comes back. For now, I'll go take a shower, and actually look decent for once.

I didn't really write this much only because I didn't think much needed to be said. I felt like if I did add more it feels a bit run-on and no break, so I decided to keep it the average length. Anyway, thank you for reading this and checking out my story!

Like I mentioned in the "Hello" chapter, I'd appreciate it if you all gave me story ideas. That would help with how this book will be turning. Also please Vote, Comment, and Share. I would be really happy if you do. With that, I'll see you all next time!

Question: What do you think of Riku so far?
