Knock Knock

She's here now. All right it's time to go.

"Hey Riku," I say to the brown-haired girl standing in front of the door.

"Hi, Hi Y/n! Are you ready for our day of fun today?" She says in a jumpy voice.

"I thought we were only going to go shopping" I questioned.

I mean I don't mind, but for some reason, I can feel the exhaustion catching up to me later. She seems way too energetic for me.

"Well yeah, but that would just be a waste you know? Dazai gave you the whole day off, after all, let's go and have fun. Plus you won't be getting days like these for a long time." She says while casually laughing.

That's scary...

"Alright, I guess.."

She ignored my slightly nervous tone and eagerly pulled me right out the door and out of the building in a sprint.

It was quite early in the morning with the sun only barely making its appearance in the sky. The city was mostly just empty with a few of those early risers starting the day. It really was nice and calming compared to its loud and lively counterpart.

After our more or less full marathon run, we eventually slowed down to walking once we were a little ways from the mafia building. Riku told me she happened to know of a cute boutique that she goes to all the time.

When we arrived it was as she said: A cute boutique. It was a fairly small shop coated in a pink exterior with large see-through windows advertising its products.

"Here we are! It's part one of what I'd like to call Operation Makeover!" She squeals.

PART ONE?! I did NOT sign up for this.

She pulls my wrist into the shop and the first thing I notice how much more colorful it was compared to the outside.

She lets go and right after, I take a few steps towards a rack just near me.

"Y/n?"

"Yeah?" I say while looking through the clothes.

"We aren't looking here."

"What do you mean?" I look at her.

She nods her head as a signal to follow her and leads me to the very back of the shop. Riku takes a hand and moves the silver fringe that covers a doorway leading down somewhere.

Without a word, I continue to follow her down the few stairs into a retro abyss completely contrasting the splashes of the rainbow up above. The entire room didn't have a single bright color in it. Not on the walls, or the chairs, or any of the clothes. They consisted of black, white, and any other dark colors.

"What's with the surprised look? You're in the mafia now. The last time I checked I'm pretty sure you can't wear frilly pink dresses or bright yellow jackets. Dark colors help us blend in more and plus they make us look badass."

"No, you're right. That makes sense." I say

I head further into the room and make my way to a rack that caught my interest.

2 ½ hours later

It wasn't until after we were done shopping that the cute little shop I saw before was actually just an understatement from its actual size. Riku and I just finished picking out full outfits and accessories, trying to get to the extent of her so-called makeover.
