"Wow, the city is still big if not bigger since the last time."

I haven't been in the actual city for about a few years, so I noticed the new addition of tall buildings taking over the streets. The sky had now become very dark, and it was getting cold. The streets were only filled with a handful of light from a few lamps on each block.

"Now that I'm here though, where do I go?" I clutch onto the straps of my bag and aimlessly wander to god knows where.

Looking around I noticed not many people were roaming around where I was. The same could be said about the number of cars on the street and the number of lights. Since I did live on the edge of Yokohama in the suburbs, that would mean I'm at the far end of the city. That could explain why there wasn't much going on.

The center of the city was probably where everything was at, so I started heading towards 3 tall skyscrapers in the distance. Maybe there might be maps or something that could lead me anywhere.

The wind was continuously circled around and I couldn't help but shiver. Winter was only just beginning, so the temperatures would only go down from here. That definitely would not help my current homeless situation.

WAIT I'M HOMELESS... How did I just realize that?

I guess it only makes sense that I'd think that though. My parents rarely let me leave the house because all I needed to do was study. They didn't see the necessity of having to go out, so I just got used to it and stayed at home. Never did I think that one day the place I could call home was no longer the place I'd go back to.

The place I'd never left, the place that gave me warmth. It was gone. I felt the sadness in my heart, the tears, the willingness to scream and yell now that the situation caught up to me. But a second later I was devoided of it all as if I was never sad, to begin with.

"Huh, I feel weird now."

I legs suddenly ceased to move and I get some kind of feeling telling me to turn around. My legs began to feel numb and my heart started beating fast. My body felt warmer and warmer by the second and I dropped to my knees when I see it in peripheral vision.

I tried getting up to run, but there was no use. And not a second later it makes its way right in front and swallows me up.

"What the actual hell? Where am I?

My eyes began to slowly open into the darkness of a large room I was currently resided in. All around me were enormous crates and boxes that seemed to go on forever.

"How did I get here? The last place I remember being was on the sidewalk, going towards the three skyscrapers."

Since I was laying down, I stood up onto my feet and took a chance to look around the place. There wasn't any noise, except the shuffling of my feet as I dragged them me.

"Is this a warehouse?"

Moving my feet I try to look for the nearest exit that could take me out of here. I didn't think there were any people around due to how quiet it was, so I didn't hesitate to remain silent either.

In the distance, I saw a door of some sort and slowly opened it up to be faced with the sea.

"Wow, it's the ocean! It's so pretty!" I say as I leave the warehouse temporarily.

Meandering around, I found that I was actually at Yokohama's port. It made sense because of all of the warehouses and boats in the surroundings. It felt nice walking around, feeling the wind caress my skin and drift my hair away. It almost felt relieving in some sort.

I couldn't remember the last time I went outside like this. Being confined to the inside of the house did have some benefits at times, but more than ever did I just want to feel the calmness of nature.

"I think that's enough of that. Time to go back to the warehouse. I don't have anywhere to really stay so I guess that will be my home temporarily."

"Seriously though isn't a port supposed to be active 24/7? Maybe something happened or whatever. It's fine as long as no one catches me until I leave.

I finally arrive at the same warehouse I started at and walked in while closing the door. My stomach began to rumble and I couldn't help, but drop down onto my knees.

"Ahh, I'm hungry! Of course, I had to skip dinner, of all days." About to sleep and just call it a night, I felt the backpack tied around my shoulders.

What's even in here? I didn't even check.

Opening it up I saw what I expected: A bunch of clothes. Tossing them out in pile nearby, I tried digging for anything useful. To my luck, I found a small blanket and ... A WALLET. I totally forgot I kept my wallet in here.

"Damn it... Only ¥3000 ( $27). This might get me about two meals at the most."

It's fine. IT'S all okay. Let's just sleep and think of the game plan for tomorrow!

I lay my blanket down on the ground and roll myself into a ball while using my bag as a pillow.

"For Tomorrow!"
