The Haunting of Fall Manor(Completed)

Chapter 1

Tes looked back, scared to the marrow and kept on running into the dead night. She knew something was chasing her, she could hear it steps. Her sweats were turning into blood, with heart pounding so fast, she ran as fast as her legs could carry her into the dead night.
"You killed me!!!"

   That was what she kept hearing which sent shivers down her spine. She had never killed anyone before so why was she being chased by an unknown creature?
She was in the woods. She leaned against a tree to rest and catch her breath when suddenly she heard the voice again.
"You killed me and I'm coming for you!!"
Her heart sank and she started running, she didn't know were she was running to but she just wanted to be safe.

   She saw a house not too far and quickly made her way towards it. She was thanking her stars for this shelter.
  She entered and locked the door, sighing a breathe of relief. Then she turned back and saw it. Right infront of her stood a hideous human, its flesh was falling of, with eyeballs popping out. It looked like a zombie with tattered cloths and blood stained teeth and hands.
It was her brother!
she could recognise the clothes.
"You killed me Tes!!"
He grabbed her by the throat and threw her to the ground violently.
"I didn't, I didn't...didn't...kill..you" Tes stammered in tears. Horror was written all over her face as she saw her brother trying to kill her.
But he didn't listen, He plunged forward ready to attack her and then.......

Tes woke immediately with a sudden wave of fright and tremor.
She was panting, her heart beat was  so erratic and her face was covered in perspiration

"what a nightmare!" She thought to herself. Her fearful orbs narrowed to the wall clock hanging on the wall, it was eight in the morning.
Her hands quickly sought for her phone which was on her bandstand and she dialed her fiance's number.

"Hey Jame. Darling goodmorning"

"Sweetheart goodmorning, how are you, how was your night? he inquired.

"I'm not fine dear, I had the same dream again!"
Tes was already in tears the moment she uttered those words. Her lips quivered over the phone and her body shuddered as flashes of the nightmare came running back into her thoughts.

"Calm down hun, let's meet at Nona's breakfast cafe, ok? So we can talk"

"Sure baby, I'll be there soon thanks James" Tes agreed ending the call.

She knew something was wrong. She had been having this nightmares ever since her brother's death and she needed to find the answers fast.

  With a deep sigh, Tes pulled her sleeping body out of the bed. Her wobbly legs found the ground and she proceeded to go over to the vertical mirror glued to the wall.

She carefully observed her profile with shortened gasps.
Her eyes were swollen a bit and dark with her beautiful vibrant hazel eyes now having a pool of grief in them.

"Yeah I guess nightmares comes with less sleep" she chuckled faintly to herself.  She spotted little bruises on her cheek and stared intently at them with elongated eyes.
"How did i get these?"

Her mind then wandered back to her  nightmares and how she would run and fall on the dirt multiple times in a bid to escape from her brother.

She pulled back with a shocking gasp. "It was just a dream. I didn't run into the woods" she sought to convince herself as she could feel her tremor rising again.
Her hands instinctively began caressing her pale cheeks.
