The Haunting of Fall Manor(Completed)

Chapter 13

Tes left the library and walked towards the parlour. She opened the curtains and stared at the crips open field outside the Manor. The weather was gradually changing. The sun had mysteriously disappeared and dark clouds had taken its place. Thunder rumbled and a fierce wind had already started blowing.

"Tes" Noah called out behind her. Tes turned around and met the cheerful face of Noah.
He was holding a toy tin soldier.

"What's wrong Noah?"Tes asked noticing that his smile had immediately vanished just like the sun.

"You-you know you will be leaving us soon so-so I brought this to give you so you can remember me and this house. I'll miss you Tes" Noah said as he held back little tear drops. He handed her the toy and hugged Tes which caught her unaware. She didn't know why but she hugged him back. He then pulled out and smiled at her after which he walked away.

Tes just stared at Noah in amazement. She held the toy in her hand and smiled unconsciously.
It was a genuine smile!

She headed for her room upstairs, Noah's words still ringing in her ears. She closed the doors of her room and sat on the bed looking at the toy whilst still smiling.
Tes put the toy in her jacket pocket and sighed.
Suddenly her smile slowly faded away as she stood up immediately from her bed.
"No-no-no..I can't do this. They love me so much and what am I doing to them? I'm trying to ruin them. I can't do this again. I'll return back those keys" Tes said as she she frantically ran her hands through her thick hair.
It felt like a spell had been broken of her.
The mysterious spell was broken.
"I just can't. I can't do this to Mabel. This isn't me!" She screamed suddenly. Her eyes were already swelling with tears threatening to burst at any moment.

She walked towards the door whilst wiping her face with her hands but suddenly she heard a loud shriek. It stopped her in her tracks as she looked around the room trying to figure out what was happening.
The shriek became louder. Tes immediately placed her hands on her ears trying to block the loud wailing but it was too loud.
"Who ever you are just please leave me alone, I can't do this anymore"Tes pleaded as the shriek continued.
Tes spurned around as the shriek continued and she crumbled into tears.

"Tes you can't quit! Not now! You are too close to opening that door! You can't quit!" The strange voice said.

"No-no please I just can't anymore. I'm making a mistake. Just leave me alone!" Tes screamed as she spurned around her room feeling dizzy already with tears dropping from her eyes.
The shrieking then stopped and was replaced by gentle sobbing like that of a woman.

"Just leave me alone!!"Tes screamed.

But the voice wouldn't take no for an answer.
Suddenly Tes felt her body being light as she was slowly lifted of the ground by a strange force. Immediately she felt pain all over her body like jolts of electricity were passing through her. She let out a scream and twisted in anguish.

She screamed continuously and was suddenly dropped to the ground with force.
She was unconscious for some seconds.
Quickly, she opened her eyes to reveal an all white eye with pupils missing from it.
She was under the spell again!

She stood up and walked towards the window,staring at the stormy clouds.

"Now rest little one, you have a lot to accomplish for me" the voice commanded.
It was as if she was hypnotized. She nodded her head and walked towards her bed, obeying the strange voice. She lay on her bed and slowly closed her eyes.

Time ticked away as seconds turned into minutes and minutes slowly turned into hours. Eventually morning became Evening.

Tes had slept through out the entire day.
There was a knocking on her door which woke her up from her deep slumber.
