The Haunting of Fall Manor(Completed)

Chapter 2

Tes pushed open the hard wooden door and it made a weird noise. It irked her. Stepping inside, she saw that every thing looked dusty.
"Feels like nobody has ever stayed here"she thought to herself.
The chairs, once beautiful pieces of furniture, were now so dusty and brown. The curtains were torn apart and she could notice they were broken glasses on the floor.
"Who could have done this?"
She sighed and walked towards the torn apart curtain.
"These were once beautiful curtains" she said to herself again.
"Looks like nothing is here, why did my brother call me here"she muttered out loud.
Suddenly she heard a noise, like the sound of something driving. It was coming from the kitchen.

"Hello, is....is..anybody there?"Tes stammered. Her foreheads was begining to get covered in sweats and her heart had already started beating like it was going to pop out of her body.

"I come in peace please, I just want to talk to my brother" she said again whilst stealthily walking towards the kitchen.

Her hands were getting sweaty as she neared the kitchen and goosepimples were already taking over her body, she hated them.

"Hello"she said once more before finally entering the kitchen.
"Ooh these are just toy trains"Tes said after breathing a sigh of relief. They were about three and they kept on driving in circles following each other.
She picked one up and smiled. It reminded her of her brother.
Immediately she dropped the train and her mood changed.
"Is..is he the one that put these things here"Tes thought with a hand on her chest.

"Why are you so scared over trains they are just toys"was the voice she heard from behind.
She quickly turned behind her and saw a little young boy smiling.
She screamed and immediately lost consciousness.

She stretched her fingers whilst trying to open her eyes and she touched a silk material. It felt like she was in a room. Tes immediately opened her eyes. She woke up and saw she was in a well furnished beautiful bed room.

Her head was pounding from the shock she got.
"Where am I?"she said to herself.
She quickly began to observe the environment.
The windows were wide open, allowing cool fresh air to enter. The curtains were beautiful, colouring pink and yellow with flower designs on them.
The bed was so soft she felt like sinking into it.
There was a chair beside the bed and next to her was a jug of water.
The wardrobe opposite the bed was huge, bigger than the one she had at home and beautifully designed.

"This isn't my room, where am I?"

Suddenly the door opened and a young beautiful girl entered.
"I can see you are already awake" she said smiling.
Tes observed her possible hostess. She looked pale but beautiful. Her eyes were coloured blue and her hair was black. Her eyelashes were very long which added to her beauty and she had dimples when she smiled.

"Who are you?"Tes asked trying to sit up.
"Relax yourself ok, I won't hurt you, you fainted downstairs so I brought you here" she replied reassuringly.

"But I don't understand, do you live here, last time I heard, nobody stays in Fall Manor, and how is this room so beautifully furnished?"

The young girl smiled again and touched Tes' hands reassuringly"I do stay here, my name is Mabel, Mabel Manor. I stay here with my brother and sister, Noah and Anabel Manor. Sorry for the shock my brother put you through".

Tes was speechless at this time, she heard that nobody stays here cause it was haunted so how did this beautiful girl and her siblings manage to live here!!

Then it dawned on her"wait you said your name is Mabel Fall that is daughter of General Fall?"
Tes looked at Mabel who smiled and nodded her head as confirmation to her question.

"But...but..the story if I can remember correctly was that you and your siblings died mysteriously and omg!!!!!!!.....are you...uhmm...dead...spirits?"

Mabel gave a faint smile and nodded her head"yes you heard correctly, I am so are my siblings,but they don't know, they still think we are alive, we've been here ever since we died waiting for the light"

Tes couldn't believe what she was hearing, she was actually talking to a spirit.
"What about your dad,Is he also here?"

"No he isn't"she answered softly.

"And your mum?". Tes immediately noticed the change in mood of her hostess. She became quiet and looked towards the window.
"I am sorry if I brought back memories Mabel. I come in peace trust me, my brother has been appearing to me in my dreams and he keeps on chasing me into this house, there must be a reason, that's why I'm here" Tes said apologetically.

"Don't worry ok,I'll help you anyway I can" Mabel said smiling.
Tes was overjoyed and hugged her then she felt it, she couldn't feel any pulse, or heartbeat.
Mabel was truly dead!
Nevertheless Mabel hugged her back and smiled at her.
"Ooh I'm sorry I didn't even introduce myself. I am Tes dear"
Mabel nodded her head and stood up"It almost time for dinner dear, come join us downstairs"

"Dinner?? For how long was I unconscious" Tes asked smiling as she followed Mabel downstairs.

"Believe me I became scared you wouldn't wake"Mabel replied laughing.

"Ooh she's finally awake" said Noah. He quickly ran to hug Tes"we thought you would never wake, Mabel was so worried"he added.

"Yes please do stay with us pleaseeeee, we hardly get visitors" begged Anabel.

Tes couldn't believe her eyes. She was actually talking to spirits and the once scary and dirty looking parlour was transformed to a beautiful well furnished sitting room. The broken glasses and the torn apart curtains were no longer there. The chairs were so beautifully designed. Tes couldn't help but stare at everything and everyone.

"My name is Tes ok and don't worry I'll be staying for the next umm let's see four days, so I'm your guest" Tes said smiling and caressing Noah's hair.

"I'll go make dinner" Mabel said heading towards the kitchen.

"I'll join you dear" added Tes.

"How did your parlour transform so quickly, it wasn't like this when I entered" asked Tes when they were inside the kitchen.

"It's because you can now see I and my siblings, so from the outside the house may look scary, but from the inside once you can see us, this is how the house looks" answered Mabel whilst cutting some carrots.

"Weird right?"she added noticing Tes shocked face.

"Ofcourse" Tes said laughing,
"I'm so glad to be here still" she added.

After dinner, Tes, Mabel,Noah and Anabel got to know each other more after which Noah and Anabel retired to their rooms.

"Come Tes, I'll show you your room" said Mabel smiling.

She took hold of Tes' hand and led her upstairs towards the room she was kept in when she fainted.

"Ooh I get the big room" Tes said laughing.

"Ofcourse, you are our guest" Mabel smiled back.

Mabel's room was jus ahead of Tes', not too far.
Tes watched her head towards her room but then she stopped and was staring at a door which was at the farthest corner.
There was a red light like that of fire radiating from underneath the door of the room.
"Why is she staring at that door like that"Tes thought to herself.

"Mabel why are you staring at the door at that corner?" Tes asked Mabel which jolted her out of her thoughts.

"Ooh you are still standing by your door,it's nothing ok, I was just having memories, goodnight Tes" she said and entered her room.

"What must be inside that room must be important" Tes said.
She stared at the door and it felt like someone was screaming inside there. She shook off the feeling and entered her own room locking the door.
