The Haunting of Fall Manor(Completed)

Chapter 4

"Ding dong, Ding dong!"sang the wall clock. It was 9am.
Tes was awaken by the sound.
She yawned and rubbed her eyes after which she stared at the room like she had never seen it before.
'Day one in Fall Manor' she thought to herself.
"Tes"
She heard her name. She looked around the room in fear. Everything seemed normal but she was sure she heard her name.
"Tes" the voice called again.
Fear gripped her.
It sent shivers down to her spine.
"Who...who...who is that?"Tes asked in fear. Her heart had already started pounding.
'First I had nightmares then a strange banging door now my name is being called by an unknown being, what is all this!?' Tes thought to herself.

She quickly stood up from her bed and went towards the window. She opened the window and looked outside. Everything seemed normal. The usual dew covered the road and a cold breeze rushed into the room making her shiver. She looked towards the woods which was not so far from the Manor.
"Is somebody there?" She asked whilst trying to maintain her calmness.
She then sighed and turned over when she noticed something.
She looked outside the window again, she could see him!
Close to the woods, she could see a hazy figure!
As quickly as she saw him,he vanished!
'Jake!'
"I am actually seeing him in reality!"
"I really have to be fast and leave this house before I loose it!"
She broke down in tears. She was really scared.
She heard a knock on the door and Mabel entered with a jug of water
"Good morning my dear"said Mabel. Tes quickly tries to clean her tears with the back of her hand whilst trying to stand up.
"Morning Mabel"Tes said with a faint smile.

Mabel could see behind the smile. Her friend wasn't happy.
Her eyebags had come out really noticeable and her eyes looked swollen.
"Tes is everything alright?"asked a concerned Mabel. She dropped the jug of water on the table and walked towards Tes leading her to the bed to sit down.

Tes shook her head and the tears started rolling out once more, tears she had kept inside her for long. She cried on Mabel's lap while Mabel caressed her hair.
"I killed him, if I hadn't said those mean things to him that night, he wouldn't have drove off angry, he wouldn't have been involved in that accident".
Tes let the tears flow freely from her eyes.

Mabel listened to her patiently. There was an awkward silence that followed before Mabel finally broke the silence. She raised Tes up and looked at her,"You did a wrong thing yes but you can make it right" Mabel said reassuringly with a smile.

"I know, I have to figure out why he wants me here. I have to make my brother happy".

Mabel smiled at Tes and cleaned her tears.
"I and you are going for a walk today ok" Mabel said whilst trying to adjust her hair.

"Really?!"
Tes' face lit up. She smiled back at Mabel who nodded her head in confirmation.

"But I have no clothes"Tes said with a faint smile.
"Well you can use mine honey, check the wardrobe, some of my clothes are there. I know the clothes are, you know, not the reigning fashion of this century but you can use them" Mabel said laughing.
She really looked beautiful whenever she laughed. Her dimples showed and her eyes lit up.

'I wonder who could have killed this beautiful girl and her siblings' Tes thought to herself whilst staring at a pretty Mabel.

"What are you thinking off?"asked Mabel which jolted Tes out of her thoughts.

"Nothing Hun, ok I'll go freshen up in the bathroom" Tes said smiling.

Mabel nodded and left the room.

30 minutes later, Tes walked downstairs in one of Mabel dresses. It was a long beautiful armless pink gown. It had a jacket attached to it. She let her hair fall down which made her look so pretty.
