The Haunting of Fall Manor(Completed)

Chapter 14

It was a quiet morning in the Manor. The atmosphere was serene as usual and the expected storm was brewing up. The winds blew fiercely as the trees swayed violently. The curtains in Tes' room danced to the rhythm of the fierce winds.
Tes' windows were wide open.
She didn't sleep the entire night. She was still on the clothes she wore yesterday.
She didn't mind the way the breeze was scattering her room.
She went towards the window and looked outside, suddenly she started laughing hysterically.
"What a storm!"
There were flashes of lightening, and the breeze kept on blowing, scattering her rooms and brushing her brown hair around her face.
"Mabel your worst nightmare is about to come to reality!"
Tes finally closed the windows and walked towards the door. She opened the door and walked out with a baleful grin.

The hallway was cleared.
It was the right time!

Bracing herself, Tes walked over to the locked the door. She brought out all the keys and put each one of them into the lock.
There was a click, the door was unlocked!
She held the handle and pushed it open.
She stepped inside, finally Tes was inside the locked room!
She looked around, it really was just a cellar actually.
Cellars are usually underground but the Manor's cellar was inside the house itself!
The ground of the cellar was paved, it looked like an underground shelter inside the house.
There were about four fire touches lighted around the cellar.
Tes jus stood in the room like she was hypnotized, her eyes kept on wandering around and she spotted a squat iron furnace.
Tes walked towards it but stayed a few metres apart because of the radiating heat.
Across the room, the embers flare in the squat iron furnace coupled with the fire touches which gave the room an angry red light.

Just then Tes could hear a grating screech as the furnace door swings open on its rusted hinges.
But Tes wasn't scared at all, infact she had no emotion on her face! She just stood and watched.

Suddenly,the room became filled with the sound of weeping.
Tes could hear it!
A muffled, hysterical sobbing that seemed to come from deep within the furnace itself!
A skeletal hand then emerged from the red throat of the furnace, it's bony fingertips scrabbling on the cellar stone floor!
A hideous skull with long stringy hair on a scorched dress then pulls it head out of the furnace, it then brings its second hand out until finally horror pulled itself out of the furnace!

The flame dances on the cellar walls as Tes stared into the glowing eyes of the phantom advancing towards her.
She didn't move nor did she have any emotion on her face. At this moment her pupils slowly began moving inside her eyes revealing an all white eyes.
The phantom smirked at her before stretching out its hand and Tes felt her body being lifted up from the ground, suddenly a dark midst escaped from her mouth and vanishes and she hit the ground violently.
She lies unconscious for some seconds and slowly opened her eyes, with hands on her head as the impact of the fall was very painful.
The spell was broken!

"Where am I, my head ouch!!"Tes said as she slowly opened her eyes and met the gaze of a phantom in front of her.

She let out a loud scream and stood up immediately, her nightmares seemed to be coming true!

"Tes thank you for releasing me"the phantom said laughing hysterically.
It was obviously a female.

"Who are you, I released you? Who-who are you?"Tes asked in fear. The sight in front of her injected her with so much terror.

The phantom stopped laughing and came closer to Tes, staring at her with glowing eyes"Can't you remember me sweetheart?"

The phantom then suddenly transformed herself into a very beautiful woman, and that woman looked so familiar to Tes!
She had seen the face before!
She gasped.
"This is the same woman in that picture I found in my room, Mabel took it away from me!"
