Silence filled the air as Bucky and Natasha sat looking over the case files. Natasha broke the silence when she said, "this wasn't your fault."

Bucky looked at her with a sort of sadness in his eyes, "carter, Steve and I made it home from hell. Carter was killed by a teenaged girl, now Steve. Carter asked me to protect him. I couldn't even do that."

"He asked me too. We couldn't protect him, but will be damn sure will avenge him."

"What do you suggest we do," Bucky started to raise his voice, "we have no leads! Nothing!"

Natasha took Bucky's hand and squeezed it tight, "we have Tony stark and he has resources we don't have."

Bucky lowered his voice, "No, I won't let him get himself killed. I may have failed Carter, but I'm not going to fail my brother."

"You, fury, clint, and I will be here to protect him."

Bucky said, "then we tell him. Bring him in. I'm not getting him killed over secrets."

"Ok."

The two went back to looking at the files.

---Weeks Later---

Tony walked into his lab and saw Natasha and clint passed out on the couch. He went and grabbed a blanket and placed it over the two. When he turned around a match came up to the finger prints they pulled from Steve's neck. When Tony saw who it was he dropped his coffee. This only woke up clint and Natasha.

"What the hell is going on!?"

Jarvis spoke, "a match, Detective Barton."

"It can't be," said Tony. "Why?" Asked Natasha. Tony walked up to the computer, "he was killed in an accident a long time ago." Clint said, "so what now. Dead man's alive. Do you think he could be responsible for all of this?" tony looked down, "he said he'd come after me either way. He'd go through anyone, and he has."

Clint said, "your sister? But she was taken by a number of people!" Tony looked at clint, "how easy is it to pay off a few crooks and criminals to do your dirty work. I could have several here with in the hour," Tony went back to the computer then said, "Jarvis. Do what ever you have to and find Bruce Banner."

"Yes sir."
