"I'm sorry. God," Steve set the envelope down in front of the coffee table then left.

Tony walked into the station and over to Bucky, "where is he!?"

Bucky asked, "Who?"

Tony said, "You know damn well who I'm talking about. Where's that back stabbing traitor."

Bucky grabbed tony by the collar and pulled him in before saying, "HE saved your life. He found you. He loves you. He knew what going into this assignment would do to him. As for Steve, he turned in his badge. He knew you'd never for give him so he left. My brother fell in love with you and now he's gone. If you don't believe me then swing by his apartment. The place was cleared out in one night. He's gone."

Tony stood there speechless.

"Steve, he lost the person he wanted to spend the rest of his life with. He thought he could change that," Bucky let go of Stark then grabbed his gun, "looks like he was wrong," he then placed his gun in his holster, "now if you'll excuse me. I have to go pick up my new partner from SVU," Tony watched as Bucky left.

BUCKYS HOUSE

Bucky walked into his home to find Steve laying on the couch, "its funny that you come here. After Carter died. I figured you'd never stay."

"Buck, I'm sorry to intrude. I just. I don't know what to do anymore."

Bucky said, "well, he thinks you retired and I told him you left, so you'll be good for a while," then sat down next to Steve.

Steve said, "I really thought I could have a normal life. Although I think I should reenlist into the armed forces. Do another tour. Get my mind off this place."

"Steve," Bucky looked at his brother, "you're not thinking clearly."

Steve stood up, "thinking clearly. I lost the love of my life once. I thought I could never love again. I guess it's the feminine side of me coming out," he smiled, "words I thought I'd never say... well I fell in love, and it happened all over again. Bucky, what am I going to do?"

Bucky looked down, "I don't know... what I do know is you're welcome to stay for as long as you like. This is your house after all."

Steve smiled.

"Rooms the way you left it. get some rest. Take a shower. I'll get dinner started." Steve nodded his head then hugged Bucky before heading back up stairs.
