“well, what can i say? i'm fast.”

Your POV

"Darling, are you sure you'll be fine by yourself?" My mother asks as I bear her a small smile

"Mother, please don't worry. I can manage myself, and besides, I'll be visiting you all during the holidays anyways" I told her just like I did yesterday, and the day before that, and the day before that

The helpers were busy packing up my things inside the carriage while I talked with her, who is still unsure of everything. Father was inside, not wanting to see me off as he'd just 'end up crying', as he put it:

"Oh dear, you better promise me that, alright?" And hopefully, for the last time, I nodded to reassure her

"Yes, mother. I promise" Was my reply, even raising a hand just to prove that it was true

"Madam, your ride is ready" A helper went towards them, delivering these exact words

I smiled and nodded in acknowledgement. Kissing my mother's cheek for the very last time, I then bid her farewell and went inside the carriage after that, though I still peaked my head out to wave at her who was at the verge of crying.

The horses neigh and I just felt the vehicle moving, soon enough, my mother's figure and our house were no longer in my sight, just like that.

Mark's POV

"Where are those two fools?!"

"Hurry and scatter before they get away!"

"Five of you chase after Jack and the rest will come with me to knock down his other half"

My head turns as I see the guards scrambling on their way, some of them chasing after Jack Sparrow, and some of them, well, chasing after me.

And yes, I am the one and only Captain Jack Sparrow's younger brother, Mark Sparrow. A long story actually, I was originally an orphan who escaped from an all boys school because of the way they treated not only me, but as well as the boys who were the 'same' as me: low, poor, no parents.

While I wandered around, lucky me was found by the infamous Pirate of the Caribbean seas, I could only be grateful that he took me under his wing and taught me what I was supposed to know to prepare myself in facing this, the real world.

I jumped down off of the roof I was standing on earlier, creating a loud thud in the middle of a busy street:

"Those sons of a biscuit eater" I scoffed, now beginning to run while hitting people along the way

"There's the other Sparrow! Come along!" I heard from behind me, which only encouraged me to fasten my pace while doing lots and lots of turnings

"Excuse me! Coming through!" Were all that I said as I ran through the road filled with people walking around

Soon after, I met with a road full of different carriages. I looked to my side and saw a ladder leading up to a balcony; without wasting further time I began to climb up and reached the fences of the balcony, now looking for a spot to stay on in the meantime.

There, I see a cream colored carriage that stood out in the field of vibrant colored ones. I could hear the guards' exclamations not too far away, which had me jumping and holding onto the thick rope I saw that connected with a pole on the other side of the road, and positioned myself as I successfully got in the vehicle.

Letting out a harsh exhale, I began to shrunk myself while I took light steps towards a young woman, perhaps the same age as I was, who looked both terrified and confused at the same time. I then got in front of her and began to lean closer, to which she responded by going backwards.
