"Oh shit! I'm going to be late!"

I scrambled inside the bathroom, trying my best to discard all my clothings in one go. Without wasting any more time, I quickly took a bath and brushed my teeth as well as did my skincare routine after. And once I was done wearing my clothes and packing my bag, I immediately dashed downstairs, seeing both my mom and dad now on the table.

Mom looks at me with a confused expression and hurried me to sit down:

"Where are you going to this early?" She asked, making me furrow my eyebrows

"Uhh. The school?" I answered, unsure if that was what I should say

"You have school on a Sunday?" Now it was dad's turn to ask

Well, crap.

"Ah. I thought it was already Monday, must have slipped my mind" I let out a sheepish laugh, feeling my cheeks flare because of embarrassment. You really outdid yourself now, Y/N

After that, I began to pay my attention towards my breakfast. The two of them also did the same while talking with each other from time to time:

"So, birthday girl, what do you want to do today?" Mom brings up

I choked on my milk.

I began to cough horridly, dad quickly coming to my aid as he rubbed and patted my back while mom serves me a glass of water:

"Don't tell me you forgot about your own birthday as well?" She raises a brow, earning another sly smile from me

"Seems like that's the case though" I shallowly replied, avoiding her gaze

"You didn't plan anything then? An itinerary and such?" Continues her questioning, and I only shook my head, feeling like a criminal all of a sudden

"Well, what are you waiting for? You can go ahead and plan it all out, we'll accompany you" Urged my dad, and I nodded, giving him a smile

"Got it. Thanks for reminding me, mom and dad" I said before continuing to finish my meal

When I was done, I then went back up to my bedroom and placed my bag down, now sitting on my bed as I went through my phone, listing down the things I wanted to do later on. Hmm. Dairy Queen sounds fun as well. I thought, smiling as I added it to my notes.

We're going there too! What time will you go, though?

"What the fuck?" I frowned, shaking my head left to right, up and down to see if anyone was here with me

I made sure all my windows are locked all the time. I argued in my mind. I never knew my soulmate was an idiot. The voice says yet again. It was a guy. Feeling deeply offended by the insult, I decide to retort, Well, where the heck are you, then? I sarcastically asked, narrowing my eyes as if the person I'm currently 'talking' to is literally in front of me.

Don't you know what happens when you turn 18? He asked, and I suddenly felt bewildered, Wait, I'm already 18? I asked, even computing just to make sure. Wow, and now I'm curious of how you pass school. The guy says, and I grumbled, At least I do, that's all that matters. I huffed, Would you mind telling me instead?
