- inspired by the netflix Korean series 'Busted'

"it's normal for me to obsess over jewelries a lot, but damn, i've never been this worse 'til i met you."

Third Person's POV

"Don't you dare come any closer, Mill. I know you're cunning but that thing doesn't work on me" The young man states, hands tightly grasping onto his gun as he suddenly points this at Mill

All eight people jumps backward though moved back to their old positions as they slowly surrounded the man:

"Give it up, Minhyung! It's no use" Love, the supposed leader of the team, exclaims, eyes piercing Minhyung's

Said Minhyung laughs at this, though no humour was ever present, which brought chills down a certain gal's spine. Her mind was filled so many questions yet they couldn't be answered, most especially because of the situation she is in.

Where had this all even started, anyways? The most prominent thought amongst hundreds stood out inside her. Y/N shakes her head and focuses on the current situation, eyes looking behind Minhyung's figure, where an acrylic box rested and inside were two of the most valuable jewels that ever exists.

The Peacock Brooch, and the L'Incomparable Diamond Necklace.

Y/N looks back at Love, who was not done with talking to Minhyung, seemingly trying to distract him from what he was protecting; it was working, though. With this, the gal immediately lunges forward, speed accelerating as she tries to reach for the items.

Whoosh. Her wrist was pulled, and it took her a matter of seconds to realize that she was now in the hands of Lee Minhyung. Great:

"Give her back this instant, Minhyung" Kyubin's voice boomed, his voice dangerously low

"Hmm. How about no?" The young lad replies, eyebrow raised as if taunting him, and this triggered Kyubin

"Give her back or so help me I will not hesitate to pull the trigger" Junji, voice filled of anger, threats as his eyes squinted

"No can do Junji. I'd rather keep this gem" The young man shrugs, which only heightened Junji's wrath

"Minhyung, look, this doesn't have to go to where I think it will. Just give us Y/N and the jewelries" Yoojung tries to negotiate, but the young man shakes his head

"Now, that sounds like a very unfair deal, especially on my side, don't you think, Yoojung?" He tilts his head

All seven tries to talk things out with Minhyung just so he could not only let go of Y/N but also surrender the jewelries. Though if ever they had to pick one, it would always be Y/N, it would always be their one and only.

The young gal had been very important to them, they couldn't afford losing her over some material. She was very important to them, she was the source of their strength, the reason for their smiles. After years of knowing one another, Y/N had a very special place in their hearts.

They were like her older brothers, always very protective of her, always concerned, always worried, and always providing her with the best of the best. That's just how much important she was to them.

On the other hand, the young lady continues to struggle in his grasp, which began to tighten the more she forced him to release his hold upon her:

"Darling, why don't you stop moving instead? I don't think you'd like the consequences that much if you do the opposite. Plus, it won't be too long" Minhyung whispers, his breath tickling her ear as she scrunches her face up

Slowly, Minhyung places his gun back inside his pocket and takes a hold of the box:

"Lads, it has been nice playing with you. But I think it's time we introduce ourselves. What do you think, amor?" He looks down at her, and Y/N smirks

"About damn time" She snarls, and the seven guys looks at her in pure disbelief

"Y/N?? You're with that lunatic?!" Mill exclaims, clearly still not believing what was happening

Betrayal and pain was evident in each of their faces. Y/N hated to admit, but she's grown attached to these men; though she just couldn't bring herself to show it. Y/N worked hard for years to earn their trust and come to this very moment, this moment where they'll finally know her identity.

As they continued looking at her, Y/N looks back at Mill whose eyes are as wide as apples:

"I'm sorry Mills. Sometimes, a gal just gotta do what a gal gotta do" The young lady says

"I'm no Lee Minhyung, gentlemen. I'm Mark Lee, the one and only phantom thief" He spreads his arms out, pride was clearly evident

"I don't think I have to introduce myself any longer. But, I could say our time together has been fantastic" Smugly, Y/N adds and waves at them

In that moment, glasses shattered into pieces, which resulted for the men to lay down and protect themselves from the harmful shards. Just then, a black car appears into the scene.

Minhyung grabs Y/N's hand as they ran toward the vehicle, successfully getting in and escaping the place:

"Well done yet again, phantom thief. I'm sure sir Taeyong would be delighted by this news" The driver tells, a satisfied look emitting from his features

"Ah, thank you, Johnny. But you should also give my affinity some credit, she did so great with playing along" Mark brags, and Johnny agrees with him nonetheless

As the drive continues, Mark opens up the box, took the necklace out, before closing it again:

"You deserve to wear such beautiful things, my love" He purrs, placing ghe box down beside him

"Thank you, Mark" She mumbles, still not used to the fact that he loves to spoil her so much

Said Mark hums enthusiastically as he places the necklace on her, the cold piece making her flinch and eventually calm down as her hand graces over the white diamonds, and down towards the biggest of them all, the known star of the show: the yellow diamond.

She unknowingly smiles while continuing to admire the piece in pure awe. Without even noticing, Mark looks at her, eyes filled with burning passion and adoration.

The two were known to be awfully dangerous and popular for their obsession with pieces, most noticeable was jewelries. They were like Bonnie and Clyde for their crimes, and like Romeo and Juliet for their unconditional love.

Though, one thing is for sure: It would take decades before they end their story.

Because their reign was only beginning.
