"i'd love to see me from your point of view"

Third Person's POV

She bites her lower lip at the sound of her phone ringing, eyes slowly looking to where it laid. Y/N's gaze drifted over to her reflection in the mirror once again. The girl hesitates, but walks to where it is and answers the video call anyway. It's been awhile since we last talked. She guiltily thoughts.

A smile is what was met with Y/N, and she couldn't help but smile back:

"Babe! How are you doing?" To be followed by countless of shifting and looking around

The girl adoringly smiles at her boyfriend, eyes gleaming with affection:

"Love, I've been fine. How about you, Mark?" She pauses mid-sentence, but ends it with another smile. This time, a smile that he knew very well

"I don't think so..." He scowls in disapproval, and she sighs, knowing she would be caught any time soon. "What's bothering my angel?" Mark followed up, hands adjusting his specs from time to time

"It's nothing, really! I just-" Y/N sighs again, feeling embarrassed to continue

"Just what? Baby, you know you can tell me anything. I don't want you keeping that to yourself" The lad persuades, his words taking a toll on her now

"Fine. Alright. I've been- I've been doubting myself lately" Were her words

"What for?" He asks once again

"I feel like I don't deserve the attention you shower me with, the support you show me, the love that you give me..." Y/N pauses, her eyes getting glossy though she does her best to stop it, "I want to be worthy of them as well but I don't know how, I just don't see myself deserving those"

It was silent after that. As his girlfriend continued to look down and fiddle with her fingers, his eyes longingly gazes at her, heart clenching at her confession. But Mark does his best to not make matters worst, as an idea pops into his head, he immediately puts this into consideration, only hoping for the best.

He continues to look at his lover for a few moments before speaking up:

"Do you... want me to tell you how I see you?" Looking down after

The young man did not receive any sort of vocal response, but he decides to continue on:

"I see you as any other human being in this world would. But way different. I see you as strong-willed lady, a lady who have dreams and aspirations to prioritize, a lady who always puts others first before her, a lady who is ready to sacrifice her everything for the future of those who are close to her"

"A lady who sees value in everything even in those that looked small for others, a lady who gets the job done despite being exhausted, a lady who always wants to give love, a lady who respects people's privacy, a lady that can be trusted, a lady that knows her rights, a lady that stands by her beliefs, her morals, and her principles"

"A lady that makes people smile in her own ways, a lady who is so unique she shines in a room full of other girls, a lady who proves me she is unlike any other, a lady who I adore and love so, a lady who I will always pick in the end, a lady I want to be my forever and always" Finally, the tears she tried to hold in for so long came flooding like water falls

Her heart was beating rapidly at his words. She sobs, hands shaking while it held her chest, trying to catch her breathe. Mark looks over to her, deeply concerned now:

"Babe! Oh no, are you okay? Did I hurt you?" He continuously questions

"Ho-how can hearing something like that from someone you've loved all your life be painful?" You manage to let out, weakly smiling as you rubbed the ends of your sleeves onto your cheeks that were wet with tears, "I can't describe how I'm feeling right now, love. I feel really happy"

"You should always be. I don't have to be the one who you need to go to when you need approval of this or that, my love. You have to know how great of a person you are, even without the guidance of my perspective or the critique of many" Mark states, simply smiling at her while he fixes his specs once again

"You're right. Thank you for staying with me through countless of my crap, Mark. I'm one lucky gal" She sheepishly says, earning a flustered laugh from him

"What can I say? You are quite a gal" He winked, which turned out to be an awkward mess, him covering it up with a quiet laugh, "I'm the lucky one, baby"

"Oh! Stop being such a cheese ball, Mark" She hushes him

"There's a price though, right?" Mark suggestively asks, wiggling his eyebrows

"Moving on!" Y/N hollered

"Right. Ah! Did you know about the time when I saw Yuta and Jungwoo wearing matching outfits? I really felt betrayed but at the same time glad, it's so weird..." He drifts off

And from there, the conversation went on and on until the night was no longer young. But the feelings and the bond they shared were always ever brand new.
