Chapter 3

Brenna's POV

When I got home I realized I had no homework. That's awesome now I can watch all the YouTube videos I missed from last night. I started off with Graser's cube episode that he probably uploaded at 4:00 AM then I watched a few other videos until it was time for dinner. I ate and then came back and watched more videos until I fell asleep.

The next morning, I wake up and check my phone. Will uploaded a video. I need to watch it before school. I quickly get up and get ready in record time. I wamt to see if Will mentioned anything about him being in Florida.  I have 15 minutes before school starts. That is just enough time. Will did mention that he is now in Florida as an exchange student. He also mentioned something about me in his video. He said that he found a new friend that is a girl so I'm assuming he's talking about me. Oh shoot I need to leave for school.

When I walk outside my door, I see Will walking across the street. I run across almost getting hit by two cars. He didn't even notice me until the car honked.

"Hey" I say.

"Hi" he says. I forgot that he barely knows me while I've been watching his videos for over a year now.

"So did you enjoy your first day?" I ask.

"Yeah, this school is a lot bettter than my old school" he says.

"That's good" I say. We continue walking to school without saying a word.

It's lunchtime and I sit down at my usual table. Will joins me again. He brought a lunch today which means that he actually listened to me yesterday. I check my phone. When I turn it on, I point my screen away fron Will since my lock screen is a picture of him and he would think I'm really weird and creepy if he saw it.

"What's your number?" Will asks. Did he just ask for my number? I'm officially dead now. He hands me his phone with the new contact screen up. I put in my number and put a bunch of heart emojis next to my name. I gave his phone back and I immediately get a text message.

Will: hey

"Just checking to make sure you didn't give me a fake number" he says.

"Why would I give you a fake number?" I say. Great, he already doesn't trust me.

"I don't know, I just barely know you" he says.

I can't believe he doesn't trust me to give him a real number. I put my phone on the table and start eating. Will reaches for my phone but I quickly grab it.

"Can I see your lock screen?" Will asks. What the heck? That's a really weird and random question.

"No my phone's almost dead" I say.

"I can charge it for you" he says. How are you supposed to charge it here?

"No, it's not like I'm gonna need it anyways" I say. I'm definitely changing it tonight.

"Seriously why don't you want me ti see your lock screen?" Will asks. That moment when you want to kill ypur favorite YouTuber.

"I don't care if you see it my phone is just dead right now" I say.

"Okay whatever" he says.

I was just watching Straub's cube when I heard my phone go off. It's probably my imagination since no one ever texts me. I check my phone just to make sure and I did get a text.

Will: Sup

Holy smokes he just texted me. Should I respond right now or should I wait. I'll respond now so I know he'll still be there.

Brenna: Nothin

Will: Wanna grab a bite to eat?

Brenna: Sure

Brenna: Where?

Will: I don't know any place around here

Brenna: I know there is this good burger place near the school

Will: What's it called?

Brenna: I don't know just meet me outside my house it's the big blue one where I almost got hit by a car today

Will: Okay what time?

Brenna: 7?

Will: Okay

Holy crap. I need to breathe. I am fangirling so hard right now! What should I wear? Will my mom even let me go? Shoot. She's probably going to say no. She says I can't date until I turn 18 and I don't turn 18 until May. I'll just lie and say I'm doing something else. I go downstairs to see my mom.

"Mom?" I say to get her attention.

"Yes" she says.

"Can I go to the movies with my friends at seven?" I ask politely.

"Sure" she says.
